Mandarin Fish, also known as Aohua fish, is a common fish in China. It is very popular because it is rich in protein, vitamins and trace elements. What did Mandarin Fish eat to grow up? Earthworms or feed?

Sweet-scented osmanthus fish feed fish species are: silver carp, bighead carp, soil dace, wheat dace, Thai dace, crucian carp, carp and so on, the feed coefficient is generally 4-5. According to the growth specification and food intake of sweet-scented osmanthus fish, the pond with 3-4 times the area of sweet-scented osmanthus fish pond was used to cultivate and produce sufficient bait fish to feed Osmanthus fish.

The feed mix needed by Mandarin Fish in different periods:

1. Early bait fish: 100-2 million fry (fish flowers) of silver carp, bighead carp, soil dace, wheat dace, Thai dace and crucian carp are pre-stocked in the pond where sweet-scented osmanthus fish are prepared, which are used as the early bait fish of sweet-scented osmanthus fish. Feed coarse fodder such as peanut bran and wheat husk, after 15-20 days, when the bait fish grow to 1.5-2.5cm body length, disinfect with 0.7ppm copper sulfate and 0.5ppm strong chlorine, you can put into 2-3cm osmanthus fish fry cultivation.

2. Medium-term bait fish: 20-300000 fish fry such as soil dace, wheat dace and Tai dace are mixed in four domestic fish ponds, and silver carp, bighead carp and crucian carp fry can also be cultivated in special ponds as bait fish for large sweet-scented osmanthus fish.

3. Late-stage bait fish: in addition to self-production and self-sufficiency, you can also purchase. In the later period of culture, dace fish generally enter winter, and dace bait fish are easy to freeze to death. Some cold food species, such as silver carp, bighead carp and crucian carp, should be cultivated to survive the winter, which can be used as backup bait fish for sweet-scented osmanthus fish in winter and spring.

Feed management:

1. Feeding: using the method of feeding fish at intervals, in the early and later stages of culture, once every 7 to 10 days, and every 5 days or so in the middle period, the ratio of mandarin fish to bait fish should be kept at 1RV 510. Too few bait fish will affect the feeding and growth of mandarin fish, and too much will easily cause anoxic floating head, which is disadvantageous to the growth of mandarin fish.

2. Water quality management:

It is necessary to add new water frequently, especially from June to September, every 5-7 days, 15-20 cm each time, to keep the pond water fat, alive, cool and tender, and promote the healthy growth of mandarin fish. Submerged plants such as bitter grass and verticillium verticillata can be planted around the pond to provide a hiding place for fish and purify water quality at the same time. Sprinkle quicklime water every 15-20 days, 15-20 kg each time. Turn on the aerator in time and reasonably to increase the dissolved oxygen in the pond water and prevent the fish from lack of oxygen. At the same time, some oxygenators should be prepared, which can be used for rescue when the floating head of the fish is anoxic.
