What are the management techniques of rabbit breeding in summer?
High temperature and humidity in summer, rabbits due to underdeveloped sweat glands, poor heat tolerance, while heat and humidity are conducive to the transmission and reproduction of various bacteria and viruses, which is a great threat to the rabbit industry. So what are the management techniques of rabbit breeding in summer? The specific culture techniques are as follows:
First, avoid summer reproduction
It is hot and rainy in summer, the estrus of female rabbits is abnormal and it is not easy to conceive, and a small number of pregnant rabbits also lose their appetite due to hot weather, resulting in insufficient milk, poor growth of young rabbits, and poor management, which can easily lead to the death of young rabbits; even if they can endure, they are also vulnerable to coccidiosis and die after weaning; some pregnant rabbits often suffer from heatstroke due to high temperature, resulting in abortion and dystocia. Male rabbits often cause testicular atrophy due to high temperature, lower semen quality and more dead sperm, which is not easy to register. Therefore, reproduction should be stopped in summer.
Second, prevent heat and cool down and reduce humidity
Open rabbit houses should build an Arbor to shade the sun to avoid direct sunlight in the rabbit cage; indoor houses should open doors and windows wide to let air convection, cooling and dampness. The hair rabbit should cut the whole body coat with the head and face hair short, and the rabbit cage should not be too crowded. The ideal temperature for rabbit life is 15 ℃ ~ 25 ℃. If the rabbit house temperature is above 30 ℃ and above 30 degrees, water should be sprinkled on the floor of the cage (electric fans, exhaust fans, air conditioners, water curtains, etc.) can be installed if possible.
The ideal relative humidity in the rabbit house is 55% Mui 65%. If it is higher than 80%, the rabbit will develop gastroenteritis, coccidiosis, fungal diseases, scabies mites and so on. The rabbit house should be ventilated and ventilated in time. If it is continuously hot and rainy, sprinkle some dry sand or place some quicklime in the rabbit house to achieve the purpose of reducing humidity.
Third, reduce the density
The setting of the rabbit cage should not be too crowded, and the feeding density in the cage should not be too large, otherwise the air will be dirty and the concentration of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and ammonia will be too high, causing respiratory tract disease in rabbits. Young rabbits should be fed separately in separate cages to reduce the feeding density and keep the air fresh in the rabbit house; unweaned rabbits should be kept in spacious cages and raised separately from female rabbits and fed regularly; weaned rabbits can be raised in one cage or one cage according to 2-3 or one cage to ensure the heat dissipation of rabbits.
Adequate supply of clean drinking water
When the temperature in the house reaches 25 ℃, the amount of drinking water of the rabbit begins to increase. At this time, it is necessary to ensure that the rabbit has fresh, clean and adequate drinking water, and add 0.8% salt or multivitamin to the water to cool down and supplement the consumption of rabbit body fluids.
5. Keep quiet
The rabbit is timid and afraid of disturbance, and the action should be light in the operation of feeding and management, so as to avoid the sound that is easy to frighten the rabbits, keep the breeders stable, do not easily catch rabbits, avoid strangers from entering the rabbit house, and should prevent the attack of dogs, cats, rats, etc., causing rabbit stress. At the same time, as long as there is enough drinking water in the rabbit house during the day, do not feed the rabbit as far as possible, so as to facilitate the rabbit to have a full rest, promote its growth and spend the summer safely.
VI. Careful feeding
Adopt a reasonable feed formula, prepare fresh feed, pay attention to feed quality, and forbid feeding spoiled and moldy feed, and weeds with Rain Water or dew; it is advisable to feed early in the morning, bran skin water for lunch, late for dinner, and more green fodder, and adjust the feeding time, that is, from 8pm to 7am the next day, it will be fed for 4 times and 5 times. The rest of the time, do not feed as much as possible, so that the rabbit has a full rest. In particular, feed is given once after 10:00 in the evening to provide sufficient drinking water, and 1% salt is added to the drinking water to supplement the salt consumption of the body. Try to achieve a variety of feed, mainly green feed, supplemented by concentrate feed. Generally speaking, the green feed is controlled at 35% of the body weight to meet the needs. According to the nutritional needs of growth, pregnancy, lactation and other physiological stages, the amount of concentrate supplement is 50-100 grams per animal per day, and 10-20% bean cake protein feed and 15-17% histone should be added to the mixed diet based on Gramineae seeds and their by-products, and pay attention to the supplement of substances.
VII. Strengthen sanitary disinfection
The faeces and pollutants in the rabbit house should be removed every day to keep the rabbit house clean, dry, quiet and ventilated smoothly. Feed trough and sink should be washed frequently and disinfected regularly with 0.1-0.5% potassium permanganate or caustic soda.
Active prevention and treatment of diseases
It is hot and humid in summer, and the common diseases are mainly intestinal infectious diseases and coccidiosis, so some chopped plantain, dandelion, spring onions and garlic can be added to the feed for two weeks. Feed the young rabbits with the mixture of Xiaoer an, oxytetracycline and Rendan to prevent disease and healthy rabbits. We should also do a good job in vaccination and epidemic prevention. Observe the rabbits every day in order to find problems in time, so that there is no disease early prevention, disease early treatment.
