Although the budgerigar has rich and colorful feathers, it can still give people a sense of beauty but not colour. coupled with the black stripes similar to tiger stripes on its head and back, it adds a bit of domineering and is one of the most popular caged birds. So why can't budgerigars fly away? Is it better to have one or a pair?

Is it better to have one budgerigar or a pair of budgerigars?

Budgerigars can be raised either alone or in pairs, but from the point of view of budgerigars and human care, it is recommended to raise them in pairs unless the breeders can give them sufficient companionship.

Budgerigar is a kind of animal that understands human nature very well. if you keep only one, on the one hand, the little guy is easy to be lonely, on the other hand, the budgie sometimes feels itchy, and a partner can tickle each other at this time, so the quality of life will be higher. In addition, the average life span of budgerigar is 7-10 years, which can be regarded as a long-lived bird. For office workers who are often away from home from nine to five, breeding in pairs is naturally better.

But if you are a novice and raise by hand, it is more appropriate to start with one.

Second, why can't budgerigars fly away?

1. Selection of culture cages

When raising budgerigar, it is best to choose a cage made of iron skeleton and lead wire mesh, so that it will not fly away. And the birdcage should choose a large size, and install transverse perch and nest box in it. For the specific size of the birdcage, you can refer to 2 pairs of budgerigars per cubic meter.

2. Daily feeding

In daily feeding, budgerigars can be fed with seeds with shells such as millet, millet and barnyard, but not just one. It is suggested that these little guys should be given a good diet. Often feed some cabbage leaves, shredded carrots, millet, red clay, sand and so on.

3. Hygiene maintenance

When raising budgerigars, it is necessary to give them a bath and clean the birdcage, especially when taking a bath, they should be sprayed and showered with warm water of about 30 degrees Celsius, and after washing, they can not be directly exposed to the sun. Their feathers should be naturally dry in an environment of about 10 degrees Celsius at room temperature.

Warm Tip: if you want your budgerigar to be able to "parrot", it is best to start from the parrot, and the male budgerigar is the best. In short, not all budgerigars can learn to speak. Breeders should not hope too much and feed them responsibly in the face of these small lives. Remember to feed and take good care of them. Only in this way can the parrots not fly away and willingly follow you to become the companion of the world of mortals.
