At present, the cultivation area of river crab in China is expanding year by year. The peak period of river crab listing is around the Spring Festival every year. How to raise river crab in paddy field and pond for novice?

Now crab farming mainly has two factions: rice field farming and pond farming. Let's take a look at what technical points they have.

1. Rice field culture of river crab

1. Selection of rice fields

If you want to breed river crabs in rice fields, you must strictly control the environment of rice fields.

Generally speaking, the paddy field for raising crab should meet the following requirements: quiet environment, good irrigation and drainage capacity, high water and fertilizer conservation, clay soil and loam soil.

After the above conditions are met, the rice field must be transformed.

It is necessary to excavate ring ditch, culture pond, field ditch and water injection channel respectively in rice field, and set up anti-escape equipment around rice field. Calcium plastic plate and asbestos tile are recommended.

2. Put crab seedlings

The first thing to pay attention to is the release time of crab seedlings, which should be selected from early May to early June, when the temperature is not very high, which is conducive to the survival of crab seedlings.

The amount of crab seedlings can be referred to about 1 kg per mu. First, the crab seedlings can be put into the ring ditch and surrounded. After the rice transplanting survives, the fence can be removed and they can move freely in the rice field.

3. Feeding management

After putting crab seedlings, you can start feeding them. The seedlings can be fed egg yolk once every 3 hours. After growing up to a specification, you can feed wheat bran and bean cake. You can feed them about 5 times a day.

II. Pond culture of river crab

1. Pond requirements

If it is pond culture crab, then to control the specifications of the pond, the general pond to about 4 acres is appropriate, the depth of the pond should not exceed 1.5 meters, should not be less than 1 meter, the water depth should be maintained at about 0.8 meters. As with lobster farming, the bottom of the pond should be inclined 3-5° to the outlet, and the bottom should not accumulate too much silt, which needs to be cleaned regularly.

2. Water grass planting

Before putting crab seedlings, a certain proportion of aquatic plants should be planted in the pond. The varieties of aquatic plants should be Elodea, bitter grass and water peanut.

Pay attention not to plant too much or too single aquatic plants, which will easily lead to insufficient nutrient supply of water bodies, thus causing aquatic plants to rot and breed germs.

3. Crab seedling release

If it is pond culture, both crab seedlings and crab larvae can be put in. The appropriate amount of crab seedlings is 1 kg per mu, and the crab larvae are 25,000 per mu.

Feed can refer to animal feed, bran, wheat flakes, aquatic plants and so on.

In short, no matter whether it is a field culture or a pond culture, we must make a good observation record of the growth of the crab every day to control the growth of the crab in time, so that we can have enough understanding of the crab raised by ourselves, and we can respond in time when encountering special circumstances.
