The feeding of sows is related to the development of the whole herd, but in this process, if there are no proper management measures, there will be a lot of complex problems. How does sow depilate return a responsibility?

First, what happened to sow depilation?

The reason for sow depilation may be that there are pig scabies mites, pig lice and other parasitic on the skin, or lack of trace element zinc.

Second, how to treat sow depilation

1, sows have pig lice or pig scabies, which will make sick pigs itch and rub everywhere, often leading to skin bleeding, depilation and even dermatitis.

(1) Pig lice or pig flea can rinse the pig with% potassium permanganate water, spray the parasitic part with 3% Laisuer, or boil it with trichlorfon in clear oil, then cool it and apply it to the parasitic place.

(2) Pig scabies can be wiped with diformamidine or Zhaolai Ling brush, once every two days; ivermectin is injected intramuscularly at 0.3 mg / kg and reused every seven days; levimidazole hydrochloride tablets are fed to pigs at 8 mg / kg; 1% color 2% trichlorfon aqueous solution was sprayed and repeated 10 days later.

2. Zinc deficiency in sows can cause skin inflammation, scab, depilation and even stop growth.

Can be added in feed or drinking water electrolytic multi-dimensional, adjust the holiday grain to properly supplement zinc sulfate, zinc carbonate or zinc oxide, balance the proportion of zinc, sows 100 mg / kg.

Common skin diseases in pigs

In addition to the above skin diseases are more common, sows may also have other skin diseases.

1. Porcine exudative dermatitis

It often occurs in piglets. First, the piglets show erythema spot on the kiss process and eye face, then turn to black skin, then oily viscous synovial fluid exudates all over the body, and the mucus is dried together with the line to form black crusts on the skin.

Prevention and treatment: strict isolation of diseased pigs and thorough disinfection of pig houses. Soak the body of sick piglets with 0.1% potassium permanganate water for 1-2 minutes, wash the lesions with cotton wool and potassium permanganate water on the head, then dry and cool dry with gentian purple. Directly apply gentian purple to a small number of initial lesions, the effect is very good. Each diseased pig was injected intramuscularly with 50,000 units of penicillin twice a day for 3-5 days.

2. Necrotic bacilli

Necrobacillosis is a chronic infectious disease of livestock and poultry. It is characterized by tissue necrosis, and the more common disease type is necrotizing dermatitis. Most of them occur in pig purchasing farms and temporary sheds in pig distribution centers.

Prevention and treatment: keep the pig house dry and deal with the trauma in time. Generally scrape off the crusts first, rinse with hydrogen peroxide or potassium permanganate water, and then apply antibiotic ointment.

3. Swine pox

Mainly through the injured skin goods mucosal infection, can also be transmitted through the respiratory tract, digestive tract. In addition, exoparasites such as pig blood lice, mosquitoes and flies can also participate in the transmission. The diseased skin is located in the back, abdomen, groin and inner thigh. The lesion begins with papules and then develops into blisters, which are prone to rupture and form pustules if secondary infection occurs. Often scabs form when the blister breaks. Swine pox often occurs in piglets at the age of 1-2 months, and less in adult pigs.

Prevention and control: do a good job of pig house hygiene, regular disinfection, do a good job of driving flies and killing lice. The newly purchased pigs should be quarantined for 1-2 weeks, the diseased pigs should be treated in isolation, the affected part should be washed with 0.1% potassium permanganate solution and then coated with iodine glycerin, the polluted environment and appliances of diseased pigs should be thoroughly disinfected, and the mat grass should be burned.

Generally speaking, many diseases pose a greater threat to piglets, so the sanitary work of breeding sites must be done well in the process of feeding.
