Starlings are afraid of cold, not easy to get sick, and eat a wide range of food. Meat, all kinds of insects, ricefield eels, fly maggots, plant seeds, fruits, rice and so on are its delicious food. So how to raise starlings in winter?

I. Environment

To raise starlings in winter, you should first dress the cage. The cage should be hung indoors at night to maintain a suitable temperature, and should not be hung directly outside or in the vents of the corridor. When raising starlings, we should be careful not to put the birdcage in a cold and humid environment for a long time, which will cause starlings to get sick and seriously affect their health.

Second, temperature

The study found that the best indoor temperature for raising starlings is between 20 and 24 ℃, especially in summer, it is recommended that the temperature should not exceed 33 ℃, and the winter temperature should not be lower than 0 ℃ for a long time. The basic principle of raising starlings in winter is to protect against cold and warmth, and to take starlings to bask in the sun on sunny days, which will strengthen the management of diet.

Third, take a bath

Before bathing the bird, you first need to make sure that the bird is healthy. If the bird is not healthy, do not take a bath. It is best to choose a sunny noon, which can speed up the drying of its feathers and ensure that it will not catch a cold. Don't use warm water to take a bath, because if you come out of warm water, birds are more likely to catch cold when they encounter low temperature air.

Starling is mainly found in southern China, originally distributed in southern China and Indo-China Peninsula, is a typical Oriental bird.
