The latest matters needing attention in planting Tianmen winter
The tuber of Tianmeng is a common traditional Chinese medicine with high medicinal value. It can be planted in spring and autumn. it is usually planted at the end of March in spring and between late September and early October in autumn. Many Tianmen winter growers will have some very common problems when planting Tianmen winter. Today, let's take a look at some matters that need to be paid attention to when planting Tianmen winter.
1. Soil
The selection and improvement of soil are the basis of the yield and quality of Tianmen winter. Then when choosing the planting site, we need to take into account the growth habits of Tianmeng, and then choose a place with strong soil permeability, sufficient fertility, rich organic matter, good drainage and convenient irrigation. Of course, it is best that the soil is rich in humus, which is conducive to the growth of Tianmeng, at the same time, we can also add some rotten leaf soil to plant.
2. Temperature
Tianmen winter also has certain requirements on the temperature of the planting land. The temperature suitable for Tianmen winter germination is generally about 16 to 18 degrees, but the temperature suitable for Tianmen winter growth is about 10 to 15 degrees. The lowest temperature of planting Tianmen winter should not be lower than five degrees Celsius, otherwise the plants will be frostbitten, so we have to cool down in summer, generally by watering to achieve the purpose of cooling. In winter, we need to do a good job of heat preservation measures, generally can be covered with plastic film in the field to keep warm, or to build a greenhouse.
3. Humidity
Tianmen winter has the characteristics of light and semi-humid, so the maintenance of soil moisture is also a problem that we need to pay attention to. The medicinal value of the tuber is the greatest utilization value, and its tuber is the fleshy root. If the soil moisture is too high, it will lead to root rot, which will seriously affect the yield and quality of Tianmeng. However, if the humidity is not enough, then the tubers of Tianmen winter do not grow big, and are prone to dry and yellowing phenomenon. So we should water the soil reasonably and keep the soil moisture at about 45% to 50.
4. Nutrients
The demand for nutrients in Tianmen is relatively large, so in the growth process of Tianmen winter, we should apply fertilizer scientifically, not partial application of nitrogen fertilizer, resulting in overgrowth of plants. In the early to middle stages of the growth of Tianmen winter, it is generally necessary to topdressing nutrients every half a month or so, usually by way of irrigation, mainly after diluting the concentration of nitrogen and potassium fertilizer, then piled into liquid fertilizer for topdressing. In the middle and later stage, it is mainly potash fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer to promote the growth of tuber and cooperate with the use of boron fertilizer.
5. Density
Many people pay more attention to the planting density of Tianmen winter. Many people grow Tianmeng purely in the field, but some of them are intercropped with Tianmeng. In general, the planting density of pure Tianmen winter is 30 cm between rows and about 20 cm between plants. In intercropping, the row spacing is generally 50 cm and the plant spacing is about 25 cm, so that other crops can be made at an interval of 50 cm to improve economic benefits.
Tianmen is actually a relatively simple planting project of medicinal materials, but in the process of planting, we still need to pay attention to these problems raised by Xiaobian. At the same time, there are some not very common problems that we need to pay attention to. If you have any other questions, you can consult the editor directly.
