Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Fertilization for the growth of vegetables is essential, now there are a lot of fertilizers, such as land fertilizer, greenhouse fertilizer, chemical fertilizer, organic fertilizer, farm fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, and a wide variety of fertilizers, but the fertilizer used in the greenhouse can not be misused. If it is misused, the loss will be great. What's right about that?

Fertilization is essential for vegetable growth. There are many fertilizers now. Land fertilizer, greenhouse fertilizer, chemical fertilizer, organic fertilizer, farm manure, foliar fertilizer, and many varieties. However, greenhouse fertilizer cannot be used indiscriminately. If it is applied incorrectly, the loss will be large. So how do you fertilize your vegetables properly?

Vegetables in facilities grow well in fine microclimate after artificial regulation, and can be produced all year round with very high yield. Therefore, a large amount of fertilizer is consumed, and the same kind of vegetables have different requirements for nutrients at different growth stages.

Due to microclimate conditions, fertilization is different from open field, with the following characteristics:

1. Volatile chemical fertilizers are prohibited. Due to the good enclosure of the shed and the small amount of ventilation during winter cultivation, the application of volatile chemical fertilizers will produce toxic gases, which are harmful to both people and vegetables.

2, can not apply undecomposed organic fertilizer, undecomposed organic fertilizer contains bacteria, eggs, and undecomposed chicken manure will also produce a lot of ammonia, harm people and vegetables.

3, more organic fertilizer, organic fertilizer can improve soil vitality, but also prevent salt accumulation, less application of potassium nitrate, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate and other fertilizers that are easy to be adsorbed by soil and form concentration barriers.

Organic fertilizer mineral content is low, fertilizer efficiency is slow, but the nutrient content is complete, fertilizer efficiency lasts for a long time, and it is not easy to cause soil salt accumulation, so it is the main type of greenhouse vegetable fertilization, and it is mostly used as base fertilizer.

The content of mineral nutrients in fertilizer is relatively single, but the relative content is large, the nutrient release speed is fast, the fertilizer effect lasts for a short time, and the amount of fertilizer used in production is small. In order to reduce soil salt damage and nitrate accumulation pollution in vegetables, the amount of fertilizer should be controlled. Therefore, fertilizer is applied as topdressing.

Topdressing is usually carried out 3~7 days before the critical period of fertilizer requirement for vegetables, fruits and vegetables are often topdressed in time before expansion after fruit setting, and leafy vegetables are often topdressed in the vigorous growth period of leaf clusters.

The soil nutrients in different regions vary greatly. Boron deficiency is common in the south, nitrogen deficiency is common in the north, and nitrogen deficiency is most serious in the northwest. Trace element deficiency should be treated by foliar spraying.

As a vegetable farmer, he should understand the land, understand the method of fertilization, know what crops his land is suitable for planting, and what kind of fertilizer to apply. Only in this way can he manage the shed well, plant plants suitable for his land, and make this land bring the greatest economic benefits.
