When the temperature is stable at 12-24 degrees, prepare some sawdust, gypsum, wheat bran and other ingredients to mix into the medium, then bag sterilization and inoculation, and finally put into the culture room, after 40-60 days, the mycelium will grow out. Then prepare a piece of cultivation land, plant the mycelium into the field border according to the appropriate distance, and finally do a good job of moisture and temperature, and the mushrooms will be produced in June-October. The specific planting techniques of chicken fir are as follows.

1. Arrangement of cultivation season

For the benefit of spring cultivation, the temperature from March to April in Zhuhai area of southern Sichuan is 12-18 ℃, which is the most suitable temperature range for mycelium growth of chicken fir. At this time, bag-making inoculation is not allowed to heat up, and the success rate is high. When the mycelium grows full in 40-50 days, the temperature rises and can be buried in the soil, the first batch of fruiting bodies can grow quickly and can be harvested until September to October of the year.

2. The making of cultivation bags

The medium formula of the culture material is the same as that of the original seed and the cultivated species. It is sealed with 17cm × 35cm × 0.05cm polyethylene plastic bag, collar with cotton plug or hole sticking with adhesive tape. After sterilization, when the feed temperature dropped to 25 ℃, each bottle was inoculated with 20-30 bags. Increasing the amount of inoculation could promote the growth of mycelium and reduce the pollution rate. The inoculated bacterial bag was cultured in a clean and dark room at a temperature of 16-20 ℃. After 40-50 days of culture, the mycelium could grow full of bags. With the continued culture, many coral tumor spots will appear on the bag wall, indicating that the hyphae have reached physiological maturity and can be buried in bags from April to June.

3. Selection of cultivation sites.

The cultivation site should be north-south, flat, fertile soil, acidic vegetable garden or free land in front and back of the house, which is 40-100 cm wide and different from the long-term view of the site, with a depth of 15 cm. According to the acid-loving environment and insensitivity to fungicides such as carbendazim and topiramine, it is not suitable to sprinkle lime powder on the bottom of the border like other edible fungi, but can sprinkle carbendazim or topazine in grain, and open a good drainage ditch around the border.

4. Cultivation methods.

The bacteria bags that have reached physiological maturity are removed from the plastic film and neatly drained into the border, covered with 20 cm of sun-exposed vegetable garden soil or woodland fertile soil (preferably not hardened) to make the border 15 cm above the ground into a convex border, covered with waste newspapers or bamboo leaves, pine needles, etc., to protect the sun.

5. Management

After unbagging and covering with soil, the main management work is moisturizing, mild control of diseases and insect pests. During the mushroom season from June to October, the temperature is high and the air relative humidity is low. therefore, cooling and moisturizing is the key to management. shade sheds must be built, which are 17-34 cm high from the border, which can shade and cool and moisturize; spraying water to and around the cultivation site can enlarge the stimulation of temperature difference between day and night.

6. Harvest

When the cap of chicken fir is about to straighten and has not yet cracked, it can be harvested. When harvesting, hold the base of the stalk by hand, cut it off along the lower part of the inflated stalk with a knife, pull it up, and the slender false root can be left in the soil.

Generally speaking, the planting technology of chicken fir is very simple, as long as we match the culture medium, do a good job of disinfection and sterilization, control humidity, temperature and other conditions, the mycelium will grow, and finally the management of moisture and temperature will grow chicken fir.
