An organophosphorus insecticide, industrial products are colorless to light brown liquid, pure product boiling point 74 ℃ (under 133.322Pa) volatile, solubility in water at room temperature 1%, solubility in kerosene 2% 3%, soluble in organic solvents, easy hydrolysis, faster decomposition in alkali. The LD50 value of acute toxicity was 56~80mg/kg in oral and 75~210mg/kg in rats.
On October 27, 2017, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer released a preliminary list of carcinogens for reference. Dichlorvos was included in the list of class 2B carcinogens.
