I. selection of species

Lanzhou lilies are generally planted with about 25g of large mother seeds. In addition, the lily core after stripping the scales can also be used as the mother seed.

II. Land selection and preparation

The best previous crops are melons and legumes. Choose plots with deep soil and good drainage. Plough deeply and remove debris from the land.

III. Fertilization

Base fertilizer should be applied to the soil before sowing. When applying base fertilizer, high-quality and mature farm manure should be given priority to, and nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer should be applied appropriately. In the autumn of the first and second year after lily planting, appropriate amount of fertilizer was applied in class, and the soil was covered immediately after fertilization.

IV. Planting

In order to facilitate later field operation and drainage, the planting ditch should be perpendicular to the rise of the contour line. The planting depth is generally about 10cm. After the lily seedlings came out in the first year, the 20cm was deeply planed between the rows of lily plants with a hoe, and the soil depth of the second and third year was shallower than that of last year.

VI. Field management

When the flower stem elongates to 1-3cm, the bud is removed so as not to consume nutrients from flowering. As the time of the bud of the plant varies sooner or later, it should be checked every day and pinched at the right time.
