The temperature is suitable in autumn and it is the peak growing season for Monopterus Albus. In order to achieve high yield and high efficiency in pond culture of ricefield eel, the feeding and management in autumn must not be delayed.

Improve water quality

The water depth of the eel pond is controlled at about 30 cm, remove the residual bait and dirt in the pool in time, keep the water quality "fat, alive, tender, cool", the water color is fresh, light brown or light blue, and often change, so that the pool water is fat but not old. The water was changed every 1-2 days, and quicklime was applied regularly to adjust the pH, and the ph value of pool water was controlled between 7.0 and 7.8. The optimum temperature for Monopterus Albus culture is 24-28 ℃ under controlled water temperature. When the temperature is high in early autumn, the water temperature on the surface of the water will rise rapidly, affecting the appetite and inhibiting the growth rate of Monopterus Albus, and even die of disease. During this period, the water temperature should be controlled below 28 ℃, and the following methods can be adopted. 1. Add water when the temperature rises to about 35 ℃, let off the surface water and add new water. If there are conditions, it is best to use constant running water with small flow. Add new water should slowly flush into, after a period of time, fine flow into the pool, the temperature difference is not more than 2 ℃. 2. A sunshade is built above the sunshade pond, which accounts for 1 / 3 / 2 / 3 of the pond surface. Grape, towel gourd, lentil and other cash crops can be planted next to the pond, so that the pool water can not only maintain a certain amount of light, but also avoid higher water temperature. 3. It is recommended to plant water hyacinth, water floating lotus and other water plants in the pond water, and the area of water plants should be controlled below half of the water surface. There are a small number of tiles and tree stumps in the pool for Monopterus Albus to perch, hide and avoid the summer. To strengthen the food intake of rice field eel in autumn, we should ensure the supply of high quality and sufficient feed to promote the rapid growth of rice field eel. The eel bait is mainly composed of fresh bait such as earthworms, fly maggots, snail clam meat and internal organs of livestock and poultry, and supplemented with appropriate amount of plant bait such as wheat bran, cake, melon and fruit. After the animal bait is generally washed, soak it with 200 mg potassium permanganate solution per kilogram of water for 3 minutes, then rinse it with clean water and put it on the bait table about 3 cm below the surface of the water. Generally, the daily feeding amount of fresh bait is about 8% of the body weight of ricefield eel, and the amount of dry bait is half of that of fresh bait. It is strictly forbidden to feed contaminated or spoiled bait. Bait should adhere to the principles of timing, positioning, quality and quantity, and special attention should be paid to the amount of bait. if the food intake of eels is reduced in bad weather, it should be reduced properly. Beware that if there is a sudden change in the weather, the eel will feel uncomfortable and restless and wait for a chance to escape, especially in thundershowers or heavy rain at night. Therefore, we should always check whether there are cracks in the pool wall and bottom, whether the drain network is intact, and whether the water depth is close to the overflow level.
