Building a shed for shading: compared with practice, the shading effect of the curtain made of wheat straw and rice straw on the shed is better than that of other methods (such as climbing plants, putting rape dustpan, etc.). The shed is low in the south and high in the north, the grass curtain is hung first from the center of the shed, and the grass curtain is covered on the earthworm bed, preferably covered with water hyacinth, water peanuts, grass and so on. The test showed that when the temperature was 34 ℃, the temperature was 30 ℃ at 6 cm below the surface of the earthworm bed, 28 ℃ for the water peanut with 40 cm ~ 50 cm thick, and 35 ℃ for the old mat without shed. Therefore, after setting up the shed, the earthworm bed is covered with grass curtains, especially water hyacinth and water peanuts to cool down, not only earthworms grow fast, but also the number of eggs laid is greatly increased.

Earthworm bed cover grass: when the temperature is getting higher and higher, grass curtains must be covered on the shaded earthworm bed, preferably water hyacinth, water peanuts, grass and so on. Watering cooling: the high temperature period must be watered once every afternoon, in order to facilitate earthworms to climb to the surface of the earthworm bed in the humid environment at night to find food, and watering twice in the morning and evening is better. Never use hot rice field water or seriously polluted industrial waste water. By adopting the above comprehensive cooling measures in high temperature period, combined with annual greening, the temperature of earthworm bed can be reduced to less than 30 ℃, and the yield of earthworms can be prevented from being affected by high temperature dormancy. In short, according to the local climatic conditions, appropriate warming or cooling measures should be taken to control the annual temperature of the earthworm bed within the most suitable range for the growth and reproduction of earthworms.
