Sheep that are wet in the rain should be cut after the wool has dried. Wet hair is difficult to cut, and the cut hair is not easy to keep. Second, shearing should be close to the skin and evenly put the wool at once.

First, before shearing should be fasting for 12-24 hours, that is, before shearing do not eat, do not drink water, fasting shearing. Rain-wet sheep should be sheared after their wool has dried. Wet hair is difficult to cut, and the hair cut is not good to keep.

Second, the shearing shears should be close to the skin, evenly cut the wool at a time, leaving stubble to be low. If the stubble is too high, do not cut it again, so as not to cause two cuts of hair and affect the utilization of wool.

Third, pay attention not to let manure, weeds, etc. mixed with wool when shearing. The wool coat should be kept intact to facilitate wool grading.

Fourth, the hair cutting action should be fast, and the time should not be delayed for too long. Turn sheep movement should be light, so as not to cause rumen gas, intestinal torsion and cause undue losses.

5. Avoid cutting skin as much as possible. The foreskin, scrotum and ewe udder of the ram are soft, so special attention should be paid to preventing shearing. Once cut, disinfect, apply medicine or surgical suture in time to avoid maggots and ulceration.

6. After shearing, do not graze on lush grassland immediately. Because sheep have only fasted for more than ten hours before shearing, grazing is easy to gluttony, often causing digestive tract diseases, should not be far grazing within a week after shearing, in case of climate mutation, too late to rush back to the pen to cause cold. Also do not graze in strong sunlight, so as not to burn the skin.
