When the temperature rises in spring, the fertilization rate of rabbits is higher, and spring is the peak growing season for weeds and forages. Therefore, to grasp the breeding of hare in spring is the key to improve the economic benefit of hare breeding. The main technical points are introduced as follows.

1. Choose the breeding rabbit. It is better to choose young male rabbits with strong physique, good development, stable genes and exuberant sexual desire. Wild female rabbits should choose young and middle-aged female rabbits with good genital development, normal estrus, high litter yield and high lactation.

2. Mating. First mating can be carried out when the body weight of breeding rabbits reaches more than 70% of the body weight of adult rabbits. The wild female rabbit is in estrus once every 15 days, and the estrous duration is 2-3 days. The mating time can be determined according to the pubic color of the female rabbit, that is, "pink early, black red late, bright red mating timing". Mating should be arranged at night so that it is easy to give birth during the day. A female rabbit can mate with a male rabbit twice (usually at an interval of 4 hours) or a female rabbit with two male rabbits successively (usually at an interval of 2 hours). Lift and pat the buttocks of the female rabbit after mating to make its muscles tense and prevent semen reflux so as to improve the fertilization rate of the female rabbit. After mating for 5-7 days, the female hare was put into the cage of the male wild rabbit. if the female hare refused to climb the male wild rabbit, it indicated that the female rabbit had become pregnant, otherwise it would need to be remated.
