In the practice of clinical diagnosis and treatment, it is found that many chicken farmers think they have many years of experience in raising chickens, and chickens usually buy their own medicine to treat the disease, but the curative effect is not ideal. There are mainly the following problems:

First, they have little knowledge of chicken disease and the diagnosis is not accurate.

Some chicken farmers have little knowledge of the disease. For example, at the sight of pericardium and liver, it is colibacillosis; at the sight of glandular stomach nipple bleeding, it is Newcastle disease; when intestinal valgus is opened, it is coccidia. However, in recent years, with the gradual deterioration of the environment and the continuous variation and evolution of pathogens, the symptoms or pathological changes of many diseases have changed greatly. In particular, single infection of the disease has been very rare. Farmers also look at the new situation from the old perspective, do not know that there are many diseases are mixed infection or secondary infection.

In actual production, the types of mixed infection include viral mixed infection, such as Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis, viral and bacterial mixed infection, such as Newcastle disease and colibacillosis, bacterial mixed infection, such as chicken colibacillosis and salmonella, bacterial and parasitic diseases, chicken colibacillosis and coccidiosis. Due to the mixed infection of a variety of pathogens, if you can not distinguish between the primary and secondary, or only know one, do not know the other, it will bring great difficulties for the diagnosis of the disease. Once the diagnosis is wrong, the effect of the treatment can be imagined.

Second, if the treatment is not timely, the best time will be delayed.

After the disease of chickens, most farmers can not give both symptoms and fundamental treatment at the time of the first onset. For example, when the chickens are slightly mentally ill, their stools are abnormal, and they eat slowly, they do not know that the chickens have fallen ill and will not be treated with medicine. It was not until the emergence of dead chickens, and the death was increasing, and the appetite of the chickens was greatly reduced, that they knew that the chickens had contracted the disease. So the medicine was taken in a hurry, but it was too late, and the curative effect was naturally not good.

The cost of raising chickens is a comprehensive concept, not just the cost of medicine. There are also a small number of farmers who blindly cherish the cost after discovering that the chicken is sick. In order to save several drug money, they haggle over the purchase of medicine, thinking that the lower the drug price, the more cost-effective it is. In fact, ineffective or ineffective drugs are the most expensive. Although drugs with good efficacy are more expensive, they are actually more cost-effective than ineffective or ineffective drugs. If we sacrifice the quality and seek cheapness, it will definitely delay the treatment, and it is impossible to achieve satisfactory results.

Third, blind mixed use of drugs and abuse of antibiotics

Chickens began to die, farmers often do not know the cause of the misuse of drugs, not only failed to cure the disease, but also because of the lack of timely and accurate treatment, which aggravated the disease and increased death. For example, whenever a chicken has a cough, use drugs such as tylosin, and whenever a chicken has diarrhea, use drugs such as anrofloxacin. In fact, chicken cough may be not only mycoplasma disease, but also laryngotracheitis, bronchitis, Newcastle disease, avian influenza, and so on. Chicken diarrhea may be not only salmonella, but also colibacillosis and various viral infections.

Veterinary clinical abuse of antibiotics is also common, no matter what kind of disease can not be treated without antibiotics. In fact, there are many diseases that do not need antibiotics at all, such as indigestion, heatstroke, poisoning, etc., the use of antibiotics can enhance the drug resistance of bacteria, resulting in intestinal flora disorders. Without indiscriminate use of drugs, it is impossible to have a good therapeutic effect.

IV. Withdrawal of drugs too early, resulting in recurrence of the disease

In order to save the cost of medication, some farmers used the medicine for a day or two, and when the condition of the chickens improved, they immediately stopped using the medicine. As a result, after a few days, the condition worsened again, and the number of dead chickens increased, which did not consolidate the curative effect, resulting in repeated illness, or even turned to chronic diseases, and it was even more difficult to cure the disease, because repeated use of drugs often produced drug resistance. Therefore, in the treatment, we should follow the law that all kinds of diseases have a certain course of treatment, and continue to use medicine once or twice after the symptoms disappear, in order to consolidate the curative effect and achieve the purpose of curing the disease.

Fifth, do not understand the role of drugs and the course of treatment, excessive increase of drug dosage

Chicken disease from the beginning of drug treatment to cure requires a process, that is, the course of treatment. A course of treatment usually takes 3 to 5 days. It is impractical for a small number of farmers to try to cure the disease by increasing the dosage, feeding a meal or injecting the drug once. As a result, not only can not cure the chicken disease at once, but also because the dose is too large to increase the artificial side effects of the chicken flock, and even cause drug poisoning.

There are also some chicken farmers who make mistakes in judging the curative effect. Mainly manifested in two aspects: first, do not understand the role of drugs is to have a process. After taking the medicine, it is found that the chickens continue to die or there is an increase in death for a short time after the treatment, so they one-sidedly think that the drugs used are ineffective; second, when the original drugs are taking effect but have not yet fundamentally improved, they blindly switch to other drugs because they are eager to recover. As a result, it is "effective" as soon as it is used, mistakenly believing that the changed drug is effective, which leads to misjudgment of the curative effect.

6. take precautions when you hear the disease and use medicine when you see the disease.

As soon as some farmers hear that a certain kind of infectious disease has occurred in the local area recently, they will vaccinate the chickens without investigation and research. This is likely to cause pollution in clean farms and bring germs into the farms, such as avian influenza, infectious laryngotracheitis and so on. If there is no disease in this field, as long as pay attention to disinfection, strengthen management, pay attention to introduction and isolation observation, there is no need for unnecessary epidemic prevention.

There are also some farmers, when the chicken disease, only to treat the pathogenic factors, ignoring to improve the defense ability or anti-injury ability of diseased chickens. Comprehensive treatment should be adopted in clinic, not only to eliminate the pathogenic factors, but also to strengthen the nursing of diseased chickens and improve their resistance in order to get a good curative effect.
