Last Updated: 2024/09/19, Don't forget the ventilation and ventilation in winter, the chicken coop is strictly airtight, and a large number of harmful gases (H2S, NH3, CO2) are produced, which can induce chronic respiratory disease, transmission branch, throat, rhinitis, colibacillosis and so on. The skylight should be properly opened for ventilation or exhaust fans should be set up every day to prevent thieves.

Do not forget to ventilate.

In winter, the chicken house is tightly closed, and a large number of harmful gases (H2S, NH3, CO2) are produced, which can induce chronic respiratory diseases, branch transmission, throat transmission, rhinitis, colibacillosis, etc. of chickens. Every day, the skylight should be properly opened for ventilation or exhaust fans should be set up to prevent thief wind invasion. Do a good job of environmental disinfection, disinfectant alternate use, such as quick cleaning, Qiandumie to prevent the spread of various viruses, bacteria.

Keep the chicken house warm

Laying hens require a temperature range of 8~27℃, and the most suitable temperature is 13~24℃. Too high or too low temperature is not conducive to laying eggs. Every increase or decrease of 1℃ will reduce egg production by 1%. Winter outside temperature is low, should increase the chicken house temperature, can take insulation measures, such as raw furnace, the chicken house north window blocking strict, etc., generally the minimum should be kept at 8℃ above.

Increase feed energy

In winter, the energy in the feed should be appropriately increased, and more high-energy feeds should be added, such as oil, corn, etc. Some chicken farms (households) own ingredients and have been using a formula. At the same time, because the content of different ingredients from different sources of raw materials is also different, protein, energy, minerals, etc. are high or low, there are normal or abnormal intake, and the egg production rate decreases to varying degrees, soft eggs, thin preserved eggs, etc., some chickens have no peak at all, and then there are crown atrophy, pubic contraction, etc. It is recommended to use reasonable complete feed, and then add some energy feed appropriately.

Keep the light constant

Light plays a decisive role in sexual maturity, ovulation and egg laying of chickens. Generally, light is required to be maintained for 16 hours a day during egg laying. 4 weeks before culling, the light intensity can be increased to 17 hours, and the optimum light intensity is 5 lux. Winter sunshine is short, cloudy foggy days should turn on the light in time to supplement the light. Anti-lamp dirty after the light intensity is weakened, should try to achieve uniform light.

Maintain proper humidity

Laying hens require humidity range of 50%~70%, and the optimum humidity is 60%~65%. Humidity is too low easy to cause chicken dehydration and respiratory disease; humidity is too high, often make the chicken house air dirty, and easy to cause various diseases. In winter, the relative humidity in the house is high, so it is necessary to adjust the humidity on the basis of maintaining the temperature. Humidity is regulated by controlling temperature at ordinary times to improve egg production.

Timely adjustment of chickens

About 200 days old, observe the flock, crown atrophy, pubic contraction, feathers tight, dry leg skin, thin pectoral muscles and penguin-like abdominal droop chickens eliminated. It can save feed and improve egg production rate, prevent the spread of other diseases, and reduce the number of doses.

rational administration of drugs for disease prevention

Do not blindly use vaccines, do not increase the use of vaccines at will, so as not to cause immune failure or immune paralysis, and avoid the occurrence of atypical Newcastle disease. When the disease should be treated in time, so as not to increase the death rate and increase drug investment. After winter, select highly sensitive drugs for colibacillosis, staphylococcosis, etc., so as to control the disease in time, and prevent secondary infection of more serious diseases such as mycoplasma, Newcastle disease, avian influenza, etc., so as not to cause a decline in egg production rate.

Minimize stress

The chicken house is built firmly to prevent loud noise caused by strong winds, and dogs, cats, mice and birds should be avoided. Under stress conditions, vitamin C can be added to the feed by 0.02%~0.04% and drinking water with vitamin C.

Supply of clean drinking water

Water is essential nutrients for chicken growth, egg production and health, participating in the entire metabolic process of the body, drinking water varies with the seasons, generally twice the feed intake in winter; insufficient drinking water can reduce egg production by 2%~10%, and egg weight is reduced; water dispensers should be cleaned every day to ensure good water quality and create a high-yield drinking environment.
