Is Platanus acerifolia deciduous or evergreen?

Platanus przewalskii is a deciduous tree, which is mainly distributed in southeastern Europe, India and America.

2. Propagation methods of Platanus acerifolia

The propagation of Platanus orientalis is usually in the form of cuttings and sowing seedlings.

1. Cuttings to raise seedlings

The shoots were collected as early as possible after defoliation, and the 1-year-old sprouting branches of 10-year-old mother forest were selected. The cuttings were cut into cuttings immediately after picking, and the cuttings were cut into cuttings with a long 15~20cm, the upper end was 1~2.5cm in diameter, there were 3 buds, the upper end cut at about 0.5cm on the bud, the cut was slightly oblique or flat, and the lower cut was about 1cm below the bud, cut into a flat or oblique mouth. The nursery requires good drainage, loose soil, deep ripe soil, fertile and moist; avoid stagnant water, otherwise the rooting is bad. Ploughing 30~45cm deeply and applying sufficient base fertilizer. Cutting row spacing 30~40cm, plant spacing 20~30cm, generally straight cutting, but also oblique cutting, the upper bud should face south, conducive to growth, easy to manage.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

There are about 120 nuts per kg head (commonly known as fruit balls), and each fruit ball has about 800,000 nutlets, a thousand-grain weight of 4.9g, about 200000 nutlets per kg, and the germination rate is 10% 20%. ① seed treatment: fruit balls were collected and stored in the sun in December, crushed when sowing, and nutlets were stored in low temperature sand for 20 to 30 days before sowing, which could promote rapid and neat germination. About sowing 15kg/ mu. ② soil preparation and fertilization: the width of seedling bed is about 1.3m, and the bed is fertilized with 2.5~5kg/m2. ③ had the best sowing time from late March to early May in shady and rainy days, and could germinate in 3-5 days. ④ set up a shed for shading in time, and the shade canopy could be removed when the seedlings had 4 leaves. Topdressing can be started at seedling height 10cm and applied every 10 to 15 days.

Suzuki has a strong adaptability to the urban environment, can absorb harmful gases, resist smoke and dust, isolate noise, withstand drought and grow rapidly.
