Asexual Propagation and cultivation Management of Ligusticum chuanxiong
Method of reproduction: asexual reproduction. Sichuan Ligusticum chuanxiong planted in the dam (that is, flat land) is called Bachuanxiong, which is the main source of medicine. The one planted in the mountain area is called Ligusticum chuanxiong, which is the breeding material for dam Chuanxiong.
1. To breed Ligusticum chuanxiong in the selected and prepared mountain areas, it is appropriate to select the wasteland of Yangshan or Banyang Mountain, remove weeds, burn ash on the spot as fertilizer, turn 25~30cm deeply, rake flat, and make a high border 1.7m wide. The former cultivation of Ligusticum chuanxiong in Bachuanxiong was mostly early rice, which was released into paddy field after grain filling and ploughed about 25cm after harvest. Compost 2500~3000kg was applied every 667m 2 to make a border with a width of 1.6m, and the topsoil was dug and fined to make a turtle back-shaped border.
2. The above-ground stem nodes with internodes are used for breeding materials, which are commonly known as "Lingzi".
The main results are as follows: (1) Yuling in the mountain area dug up Ligusticum chuanxiong in Badi in early February, called "Fuxiong", removed the fibrous root soil, transported it to the mountain area, and transplanted it to the mountain area above 1000m above sea level. According to the square distance between the row and the plant, the depth of the hole is about 7cm, and compost is applied in the hole. One Ligusticum chinense is planted in each hole, and two small ones can be planted. The mouth of the bud is up and the soil is pressed tightly. Fuxiong 150~250kg was used every 667m2. Seedlings emerged in the first ten days of March, and the seedlings were sparse when the seedling height was 10~13cm. 12 sturdy aboveground stems were selected, and the rest were cut off from the base. After thinning seedlings, ploughing and weeding, topdressing was applied once in the middle of April, and burrows were mixed with livestock dung water and rotten cake fertilizer. The middle and last ten days of July is the right time for harvest. Dig up the whole plant, remove the insect stalk, remove the leaves, cut off the rhizome (dried for medicinal use), bundle it into a small bundle, put it indoors or in a cool cave, spread the thatch-layer up and down, sow it up and down once a week, put it out in early August, cut the stem to grow 3~4cm, and there is a plate of short nodes in the middle, which will be used as a breeding material for dam land.
(2) Rhizoma Ligustici was dug and planted in March, and its management was basically the same as that in mountainous areas. Harvested in the first ten days of July, the stems were bundled into small bundles, stored in a low temperature and dry place, and planted after 20-30 days.
(3) the suitable time for planting is the first and middle August, when planting, shallow ditches are opened across the border, and shallow planting is the key to high yield, with row spacing 30cm, furrow depth 2~3cm, 8 seeds per row and plant spacing about 20cm. Two Ling seeds were planted at each end of the row, and one row was planted every 6-10 rows to prepare for seedling replenishment. When planting Lingzi in the ditch, the buds are pressed upward into the soil to make it in close contact with the soil, and some nodes are exposed to the soil surface. After planting, cover it with compost or soil manure, and then cover it with straw.
Cultivation management: after planting, it is sunny but not rainy, diverting water to irrigate to keep the soil moist. After 15 days or so, the seedlings are all out, the cover is removed, and then the weeds are ploughed and weeded once every 15-20 days, and the topsoil should be loosened shallowly so as not to hurt the roots. After the first three times of intertillage and weeding, topdressing was applied once respectively, 1500~2000kg was applied in the first time, the concentration was higher in the second and third times, and some compost and cake fertilizer were added. Cut off the withered and yellow stems and leaves in winter, weed and loosen the soil, and cover a thin layer of topsoil on Ligusticum chuanxiong to protect the rhizome through the winter. The stems and leaves grew rapidly with the increase of air temperature, and thin human and animal feces were applied once in the first ten days of March.

Control of main diseases and insect pests of Ligusticum chuanxiong
1. The main diseases and control methods of leaf blight mostly occurred in May and August. During the onset of the disease, brown and irregular spots appeared in the leaves, and then spread to the whole leaves, resulting in the death of the leaves of the whole plant. At the initial stage of the disease, the prevention and treatment methods were sprayed with 65% Dysen zinc 500 times or 50% acetaminophen 1000 times.

More attention should be paid before planting Szechuan lovage rhizome
Chuanxiong rhizome is used as medicine by root, and people use it to make tea. It has the effects of mellow and delicious, cooling and quenching thirst, expelling wind and relieving pain, promoting qi and activating blood, etc. 1. Cultivation methods. Szechuan lovage rhizome is cultivated with stems. Before planting, the soil should be deeply ploughed, with 120 kg of phosphorus fertilizer and 150 kg of farm manure per 667 square meters.
