Zucchini is a common vegetable, mainly edible young melons, the fruit is cylindrical, fruit surface is smooth, vegetables can be stuffed, deeply loved by people. So, how do you grow cucurbit seeds in Inner Mongolia?

1. Land preparation

Zucchini is not strict to the soil, sand, loam, clay can be cultivated, but the soil layer of deep loam is suitable. Before planting, apply basic fertilizer to the soil, 2000 kg per mu of rotten organic fertilizer, 75 kg of cake fertilizer, 40 kg of compound fertilizer and 80 kg of plant ash. Spread fertilizer evenly on the ground, turn 30 cm deep, flatten the ground, and then make a border, 100 cm wide, 20 cm high, and 25-30 cm wide.

2. Sprouting

Soak the cucurbit seeds in warm water of 50-60 degrees, stir constantly, remove and clean them when the water temperature drops to about 30 degrees, then soak them for another 5-6 hours, let the seeds fully absorb water and then fish them out and dry them. Wrap them with wet towels and place them in a greenhouse environment of about 25 degrees to accelerate germination and sow seeds when they sprout.

3. Sowing seeds

The suitable temperature of cucurbit seeds is 25-30 ℃, 13 ℃ can germinate, but very slowly, 30-35 ℃ can germinate the fastest, but easy to cause overgrowth. It can be sowed in spring or autumn at a suitable temperature. Prepare the seedbed before sowing, pour enough water into the soil, and then sow the cucurbit seeds on the seedbed, the germinating end is under, cover with a layer of shallow soil, and wait for seedlings to emerge. When the seedlings grow to 2-3cm, they can be planted.

4. Fertilizer and water

Zucchini like to be moist, not resistant to drought, later according to soil moisture, timely watering. Topdressing should be applied in time when the root melon begins to expand, generally applying 30-40 jin of compound fertilizer per mu, and then topdressing when the second melon expands, and then applying 40-50 jin of urea per mu. After that, fertilizing and watering are applied once a month.
