The difference between Coral Fern and Cuiyun Grass
The scientific name of coral fern is Selaginella vulgaris, which is not tall and is often used for potted domestic cultivation in daily life. Ercuiyuncao, also known as cypress and cypress leaves, is also used for potted domestic cultivation. The two plants are slightly similar in appearance, and both belong to Selaginella. Selaginella officinalis, native to the eastern United States and parts of northeastern Mexico, grows mainly in moist soil and is a low-altitude plant whose wild samples have only been found at an altitude of no more than 100 meters above sea level. Cuiyun grass is a kind of plant endemic to China, which is mainly distributed in the south of China, born under valley forests at an altitude of 40-1000m, multi-humus soil or shady and wet weeds by streams.
Coral fern has strong adaptability and can be found from tropical to cold zones. the whole plant is tender green with dense branches and leaves and about 10cm. It is a perennial evergreen herb, erect, multi-branched and fresh as water plants. Cuiyun grass is a medium-sized verdant fern, mainly distributed in the tropics and subtropics, the leaves are all arranged alternately, the leaves are like cloud patterns, the four seasons are green, and the main stem is erect and then climbing, 50-100 cm or more long.

Coral ferns like semi-shade environment, scattered light culture is better; like water, suitable for growth in moist soil; able to withstand the lowest low temperature of-5 ℃, air humidity higher than 60% is the best ornamental. On the other hand, Cuiyuncao is suitable for growing in weakly acidic or acidic soil, and the lowest adaptive temperature is 4 ℃, and the ideal temperature is 13 ℃-27 ℃.
