Last Updated: 2024/11/06, This is a plant of Magnoliaceae and Michelia, as well as an evergreen shrub or small tree. Its origin is in the provinces of South China. In Guangdong Province, there is wild distribution. Today, it is widely planted in all provinces of our country. It has been a well-known ornamental plant in China since ancient times, and its ornamental quality is very high. The treatment before flowering is very important and affects the quality of its flowering. So, what exactly should we do?

1. Specific period

This plant blossoms from March to May, so it is in the early stage of flowering before March.

2. Specific methods

(1) temperature: if you want it to blossom, the temperature must be guaranteed. Because it is in a period of relatively low temperature in the early stage of flowering, in order to ensure its flowering, we'd better raise the temperature to promote its flowering.

(2) Illumination: the plant itself likes to grow under semi-shady conditions. However, this is the time when it is about to blossom, so proper light is indispensable. We can put it on the balcony and other places where we can receive astigmatism. If it is not a very strong light, there is no need to block out the light. By doing so, it can make its flowers bloom better.

(3) Fertilizer: flowering requires a lot of nutrients, and sometimes the nutrients that can be absorbed from the soil are not enough, we'd better supplement them in advance. In order to promote flowering, we can apply some fertilizer that contains more P element.

(4) moisture: of course, this is also an indispensable factor. This kind of plant itself likes the slightly wet environment, and naturally needs water supplement in the early stage of flowering. Therefore, we can water it once a day to make the soil in the basin a little wetter. However, it should be noted that the amount of water should not be too much, and it is not good if it is waterlogged.
