Yudan 132 is a new maize variety newly selected and bred by Henan Agricultural University. The variety showed the characteristics of good comprehensive characters, good adaptability and stability, suitable growth period and so on in the continuous variety experiments in Henan Province and Huang-Huai-Hai summer maize region for many years.

Performance and characteristics of main characters

The grain yield is high and the yield stability is outstanding. In the identification test of summer sowing in Zhengzhou in 2012, the yield of this variety was 639.2 kg per mu, which was 11.6% higher than that of Zhengdan958, a nearby control. In the yield ratio test of 4500 plants per mu in Zhengzhou and Xuchang in 2013, the yield per mu was 617.3 kg and 601.6 kg, which was 13.1% and 12.8% higher than that of the control Zhengdan 958. In 2014, the combination increased yield by 2.3 to 11.9% compared with the control Zhengdan 958 in multi-site identification tests in Junxian, Neihuang, Mengzhou, Wenxian, Weihui, Linying, Xiping, Shangshui and other places in Henan Province.

In 2014, Yudan132 participated in the comparative experiment of new maize varieties of machine harvest group in Henan Province. The average yield per mu was 693.89 kg, which was 6.84% higher than that of Zhengdan 958 and 7.86% higher than that of Qiaoyu 8, which was the control variety of machine harvest.

In 2015, Yudan132 participated in the corn variety comparison test in the national main producing areas. In 13 pilot projects in Huang-Huai-Hai summer corn region, the average yield per mu increased by 751.9 kg, which was 8.24% higher than that of the control variety Zhengdan958. In 2016, it was upgraded to participate in the national Huang-Huai-Hai summer corn group regional trial.
