Kiwi fruit is a kind of fruit with high nutritional value. It tastes sour and sweet. Besides fresh food, it can also be made into preserved fruit and fruit wine, which is loved by consumers. Kiwifruit is common in Hunan, Shaanxi, Hubei and other places in China, and the requirements for planting environment are relatively high. When do kiwi fruits usually grow? How to spend summer safely?

When do kiwis usually grow?

Kiwifruit usually colonizes best after defoliation in winter and before bleeding in spring. It is best to plant kiwifruit 1~2 days before rain or before rain, and the survival rate of kiwifruit planted at this time is about 98% except other factors. The latest planting time of kiwifruit was before bleeding. The survival rate of kiwifruit planted after bleeding, germination and rooting will decrease.

If it is planted in the south, because of the early spring rain, it is suitable for planting on cloudy or sunny days before rain. When planting in rain or after rain, kiwifruit seedlings root slowly, root poor, affect the survival of seedlings, is not convenient for planting work.

If it is planted in the north, it is best to plant before the injury, and it is best not to plant seedlings that have taken root, sprouted, sprouted or grown to a certain length.

How safe are kiwi fruits for summer?

1. Strict fruit thinning

From 15 days after flower drop to 2~3 times before bagging, according to the principle of "keeping good and eliminating bad, keeping big and eliminating small, keeping sparse and eliminating dense, keeping middle and eliminating base", round fruits with poor pollination, abnormal fruits or weak fruits, overlapping fruits, diseased fruits, etc. are thinned. Generally, 4~6 fruits are reserved on long fruit branches, 2~3 fruits on moderate branches, 1 fruit or no fruit on short fruit branches. No more than 400 fruits per plant shall be reserved in the garden with plant spacing of 3 m ×4 m, no more than 200 fruits per plant shall be reserved in the garden with plant spacing of 2 m ×3 m, and the number of fruits reserved in the nursery garden shall be reduced.

2. Pull branches and tie vines.

From the end of pruning in winter of the previous year to the fruit expansion period, pull branches and tie vines, repeatedly pull fruit branches and nutrient branches evenly, and tie them; knead strong skeleton branches and soften them before tying them, generally tie 1~2 times, and tie them on iron wires with binding ropes.

3, wipe bud pick heart.

According to the growth characteristics of kiwifruit, measures such as early bud wiping, timely topping, long branches and short pruning should be taken to prune it many times. In the germination period, the improper position or dense buds can be removed early; for the fruit branches growing vigorously in the mature orchard, 7~9 leaves above the fruit position are removed, and 3~4 leaves are removed for the second branch sprouting after the first removal. 2~3 leaves are reserved for the third sprouting branch, 10 ~ 12 leaves are reserved for the culturable long branch or vegetative branch, and the diseased branch and slender weak branch are thinned from the base.

4. Strengthen fertilizer and water management.

Fertilization in summer should be a small number of times, in principle to avoid the application of high-concentration chemical fertilizers, and prohibit ammonium fertilizer. At the beginning of June, 1 kg of three-element compound fertilizer was applied to the expanded fertile plants, and 0.5 kg of medium and trace element fertilizer was applied to the fertile plants at the end of July and the beginning of August. Fertilization amount of early hanging orchard should be reduced. Fertilization position 80~100 cm from trunk, fertilization depth 15 ~20 cm. Fill up with water after each fertilization. After bagging, spray 1:1 times of biogas slurry or 500 times of amino acid nutrient leaf fertilizer once every 10 days for 3 times in total. In case of high temperature and drought, irrigation should be done before 11 a.m. or after 4 p.m. when the ground temperature is low.
