Method 1. Press with your hands.

Method 2. Look at the skin color.

No matter the cantaloupe with green skin or hemp skin, the top of the head will be white when it is ripe, and the top of the cantaloupe with yellow skin will turn bright yellow when it matures. If the color changes to white or yellow, it means it is ripe.

Method 3. Look at the tendrils of melons

When cantaloupe is ripe. The tendrils on the melon section will be withered and yellow. if you go to the field to pick and see the tendrils withered and yellow, it means that they are ripe and ready to be picked.

Method 4. Look at the fruit stalk

The cantaloupe with net pattern is slightly sunken and greasy at the back end of the fruit stalk when it is ripe, and the net pattern is dense. Unreticulated or semi-reticulated cantaloupe, when ripe, the back end of the fruit stalk becomes bright, bright spots, hair off, tough profile, smooth and greasy. When some varieties of cantaloupe mature to 90%, the stalk will be delaminated and fall off naturally.

Method 5. Smell the smell

No matter which kind of cantaloupe, the navel of the fruit will give off a strong smell of fruit when it is ripe, so you can smell the navel. Whether there is a fragrance or not, it means it is ripe.

Method 6. Look at the scarring of melon peel

See if there is a scar on the peel. The older the scar, the more mature the cantaloupe is, and the sweeter it is.
