In many spicy foods, boiled edamame beans are very popular, because edamame beans are easy to taste and taste fragrant. Edamame beans are planted all over our country, and the requirements for the planting environment are not very high, but the high yield must be managed properly. Let's learn about the season in which edamame beans are ripe. How to plant it?

In what season do edamame beans mature?

Spring sowing is from the end of March to early April (protected cultivation can be appropriately early) and harvested from June to July; summer sowing from the end of April to June and harvest from July to September; autumn sowing from July to August and harvest from September to October. Ripe varieties are generally listed early, that is, after entering the grain filling period, they can be harvested one after another and can be sold at a good price.

But should not be premature, otherwise the bean grain is shrunken and small, the commodity is poor, the yield is low, but affects the economic benefit. Mid-and late-maturing varieties are generally harvested when the beans are full and the pods are still green, but they should not be too late, otherwise the beans will be hard and the quality will be reduced.

How to grow edamame beans?

1. Select improved varieties

The varieties with large grains, delicious taste, dense pods, green pods and seeds were selected. Such as Taiwan 292, Beifeng 3, Zhongdou 30 and other soybean varieties, if there is no special variety can also choose short foot early, Xiang Chundou 10 and so on. The amount of seed used per mu is 6-8 kg.

2. Film seedling raising

Two sowing times can be arranged. Generally speaking, the first batch of seeds can be sown in "stinging"; sandy soil paddy fields or upland soils with good asphaltic properties are selected as seedling beds, and clay loam soils with poor water permeability are not suitable as seedbeds, because clay loam soil is easy to cause rotten seeds and dead seedlings caused by stagnant water in seedbeds, and seedbeds can be made into boxes 140 cm wide, which are convenient for covering film and transplanting seedlings. After the seedbed is turned over, finely arranged, raked and sowed, the 3.5-meter-long chamber can generally sow 3 kilograms; after sowing, cover the seeds with fine soil, and if the soil is dry, water can be watered once, and some straw can be properly covered, which has the effect of heat preservation and moisturizing and reducing rotten seeds and dead seedlings caused by soil consolidation. After covering the seeds, use a small bamboo pole of 2 cm long to make an arch frame on the side of the box at a distance of about 1 meter, cover the film, and press it with adobe all around; after the first batch of seedlings are transplanted, sow the second batch in the original seedling bed in time, and transplant the seedlings in time at the 2-leaf stage; strengthen the management of heat preservation, moisturizing, anti-soiling, weeding and seedling refining during the seedling bed period.

3. Timely transplanting

Choose to plant in sunny sloping soil or mountain dry fields, and transplant 50% of the seedlings in the seedling bed in time when they reach the 2-leaf stage, preferably after rain; before transplanting, first turn the soil deep and fine, then trench according to the row spacing of 33 cm wide, 15 cm wide, and then transplant 2 or 1 rows of seedlings according to the plant spacing of 20-25 cm on both sides of the ditch; when transplanting, you can use 20 kg phosphate fertilizer and 10 kg plant ash per mu as base fertilizer.

4. Careful management

After transplanting, the management of ploughing, topdressing, weeding and pest control should be strengthened. Generally, ploughing and weeding in time when the seedling height is 20 to 30 centimeters; it is best to apply fertilizer to promote seedlings according to the amount of urea 7: 10 kilograms per mu before grabbing the rain; generally, according to the actual situation, rodent pests are controlled once, aphids, bean pod borer and curl elephants are controlled twice; pyrethroids pesticides that are safe to people and animals should be selected for pest control, which should be unified and centralized.
