Soft jujube generally refers to Jun Qianzi, also known as black jujube, soft jujube, milk jujube, wild persimmon, etc., is a kind of fruit tree for both medicine and food, which can be propagated by sowing or grafting. What tree can the soft jujube be grafted with? When will it be grafted? How is it grafted?

What kind of tree can soft jujube be grafted with?

Soft jujube can be grafted with persimmon. Soft jujube, also known as black jujube, is a good rootstock for grafted persimmon because of its developed root system and strong adaptability.

When will the soft jujube be grafted?

Soft jujube trees are generally from April 15 to May 10, there are three commonly used ramet, grafting and cutting, but ramet is the most commonly used. Generally, for the root tiller seedlings which are 2 meters away from the mother tree, although the seedlings are short, they have many roots, which are easy to survive and grow fast; the root tiller seedlings germinated on the large roots near the main stem are tall and thick, but the roots are few, the survival rate is low and the growth is poor. After 2 years, dig up the soil, leave the mother root 20 cm long and cut off the seedlings, which can be sold or planted as finished seedlings.

Third, how to graft soft jujube?

There are many methods of soft jujube grafting, you can choose according to the actual situation, such as:

(1) skin grafting

1. Prepare for

When the sap flow is exuberant and the bark is easy to peel off after the jujube sprouts, choose the smooth skin of the rootstock to cut off the rootstock, cut a small opening of about 0.5 cm deep into the xylem from top to bottom on one side of the cross section, and peel the cortex into a triangular crack. Then the lower end of the scion is 2-3 cm away from the lower cross section, oblique cut downward with a knife, and the section is horseear-shaped.

two。 Operation

Insert the cut side of the scion along the xylem into the skin from the triangular crack of the chopped rootstock (the scion length is closely connected with the xylem of the rootstock), leaving a 1 mm section on the cutting surface. Then the cut of the rootstock and the binding part with the scion were all wrapped tightly with plastic film, and the grafting was completed.

(2) splicing

1. Prepare for

Remove the weeds and useless roots and tillers around the seedlings, cut the cross section of the rootstock with scissors, and split the rootstock longitudinally with a 2-3 cm incision along the center of the cross section of the rootstock, and then quickly cut the scion down to a double-sided wedge-shaped smooth cutting surface from 2cm to 3 cm from the lower end.

two。 Operation

Insert the cut scion into the split of the rootstock, leaving a 1-2 mm section at the upper end of the cutting surface of the scion, so that the cambium on the thicker side of the scion can be aligned with the cambium of the rootstock.

3. Deal with

Finally, the split of the rootstock and the joint of the scion are evenly wrapped with plastic film for moisturizing. If the scion is not wax-sealed, wrap the whole scion with thin plastic film to prevent water loss.

In fact, in addition to grafting, soft jujube trees can hang fruit about 3 years after sowing seeds.
