Apple is one of the fruits that we often eat in our life, there are many varieties, rich in vitamin C and dietary fiber, deeply loved by consumers. In the process of apple planting, some fruit growers react that apple trees lose apples. What is the reason for this? How can it be solved?

First, what are the reasons why apple trees grow old?

1. Natural fruit drop

Apple trees will naturally drop fruit in the fruit period, which is a kind of growth habit. Generally, apple trees have two peaks, the first is about 10 days after flowering, and the second is from July to August.

2. The tree is too prosperous.

It may be caused by improper use of fertilizer, apple tree fruit loss may be due to excessive nitrogen fertilizer, or lack of phosphorus and potassium, resulting in the imbalance of carbon and nitrogen in the tree body, resulting in excessive vegetative growth, vegetative growth and reproductive growth imbalance, resulting in a large number of fruit drop; it is also possible that the apple tree has little fruit and a large amount of nutrition has no place to supply, so it has to be transported to the growth of vegetative branches, which will also cause the tree to be too prosperous.

3. Fruit drop caused by diseases and insect pests

For example, apple tree trunk rot or fruit rot, that is, rot, ring disease, anthracnose and so on, will cause apple trees to drop apples.

4. Lack of water

When the soil moisture is insufficient, the amount of water entering the fruit decreases accordingly. When the weather is seriously dry, the branches and leaves should also capture the original water in the young fruit, so that the young fruit will fall off due to lack of water.

5. Influence of natural disasters during flowering.

During flowering, low temperature and frost caused flower buds to be frozen; strong winds and rain limited the activities of pollinating insects; sandstorms covered the stigmas and prevented pollen from germinating.

6. Few pollinating insects

During flowering, there are few pollinating insects such as wall wasps and bees, which affect pollination and fertilization, and can not be pollinated in time, resulting in falling flowers.

7. Insufficient amount of pollen

Unreasonable configuration of pollination trees, lack of pollination trees in orchards or inconsistent florescence among varieties, pollen incompatibility, so that poor pollination and fertilization led to falling flowers.

Second, how can the fruit drop of apple trees be solved?

1. Topdressing under the tree

According to the basis of orchard fertility and tree nutritional status, 20-30 days before fruit drop, fruit trees can be topdressing nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other chemical fertilizers, and appropriate application of high-quality organic fertilizer can prevent apple trees from falling fruit.

2. Foliar fertilizer spraying

In order to quickly supplement tree nutrition and reduce fruit drop rate, foliar fertilizer can be sprayed 2-3 times continuously when apple trees are close to physiological fruit drop, and 0.5% urea water and 0.4% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution can be sprayed.

3. Spraying plant growth regulators.

Before the arrival of physiological fruit drop of apple trees, spraying 20-40 mg / L naphthylacetic acid solution every 10-15 days for 2-3 times can effectively control the physiological fruit drop.

It is worth noting that this measure must be established on the basis of improving tree nutrition to be effective, and the effect on physiological fruit drop caused by other reasons is not obvious.
