In the process of agricultural production, the use of fertilizer is inseparable. As we all know, different fertilizers have different effects, and some of them will be better if they are mixed, but there will be some disadvantages if they are not mixed properly. Then how to mix fertilizer? Which fertilizers cannot be mixed?

First, how to mix fertilizer?

1. Pay attention to the application time

The effect of organic fertilizer is slow and should be applied in advance. Generally, it is necessary to apply one-time basal fertilizer before sowing or planting. It is best to choose fully fermented and mature organic fertilizer before use, and the effect of topdressing is not as obvious as that of base fertilizer in the later stage.

The effect of chemical fertilizer is quick, and it should be applied about a week in advance when it is used as base fertilizer, and topdressing should be applied before the critical period of crop nutrition or the peak period of nutrient absorption to meet its needs.

Biological bacterial fertilizer can play the role of bacteriostasis only after a large number of reproduction in the soil, so it should be applied early on the premise of colonization to make it have time to reproduce and grow. It can be applied into the soil together with organic fertilizer, or before or during planting.

2. Pay attention to the application amount

The growth period of different crops is different, and the amount of fertilizer needed is also different, which can neither be applied more nor less. Fertilizer should be applied according to the proportion of fertilizer they need, and it should also be noted that the nutrients in the soil should be taken into account. It is best to carry out a soil test and fertilize according to the soil testing formula.

3. Pay attention to the application method

The main role of organic fertilizer is to improve the soil, but also can provide nutrients, generally before planting crops, organic fertilizer should be applied to the soil, so it should be combined with deep ploughing to make the organic fertilizer and soil completely mixed together to achieve the purpose of improving the soil.

In the base fertilizer, because the nutrients in the organic fertilizer are mainly phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen, the organic fertilizer should be applied in combination with chemical fertilizer. Phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer can be applied at one time as base fertilizer, and the effect of topdressing is very poor because of poor mobility of phosphate fertilizer, so phosphate fertilizer should be applied to soil as base fertilizer.

It is best to use fully soluble available fertilizer as the main fertilizer for topdressing, which can be quickly absorbed by crops after decomposition and has little effect on the soil.

The same kind of biological bacterial fertilizer can be applied many times to strengthen the microflora and improve the ability of dissolving phosphorus and potassium and the effect of disease control.

Second, which fertilizers can not be mixed?

1. Calcium superphosphate can not be mixed with plant ash, lime nitrogen, lime and other alkaline fertilizers. Because calcium superphosphate contains free acid and is acidic, and the above alkaline fertilizer contains more calcium, if mixed with calcium superphosphate, it will cause acid-base reaction, reduce fertilizer efficiency, and make calcium fix phosphorus, resulting in the loss of both sides.

2. Alkaline fertilizers such as calcium, magnesium and phosphate fertilizer can not be mixed with ammonium nitrogen fertilizer. Because the mixed application of alkaline fertilizer and ammonium nitrogen fertilizer (such as ammonium sulfate, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium chloride, ammonium nitrate, etc.) will lead to ammonia volatilization and reduce fertilizer efficiency. Farm manure such as human and animal manure should not be mixed with calcium, magnesium, phosphate fertilizer, plant ash, lime nitrogen, lime and other alkaline fertilizers. Because the main component of human and animal feces and urine is nitrogen. If mixed with alkaline fertilizer, it will neutralize and fail.
