The leaves are oval-lanceolate with yellow longitudinal stripes on the edges of the green leaves. Another common cultivation is rich bamboo, which is a bud variety of Phnom Penh bamboo, with thick green leaves. The silver-edged rich bamboo has a small plant with silver-white vertical stripes on the leaves. Phnom Penh rich bamboo likes high temperature and humidity, the atmosphere is too dry will cause leaf tip scorch. Avoid direct sunlight in summer, otherwise it will burn the leaves, but it is appropriate to bear sufficient scattered light. When there is not enough light, the stripes of the color will fade. When the rich bamboo is planted in water, the branches with the same length can be cut and inserted in the water, and the roots can germinate in more than 10 days.

Second, hanging orchids

Hanging orchid, also known as hanging orchid, perennial evergreen herbs. Leaves basal, linear to strip-lanceolate, base clasping, green. Flowers are drawn from leaf axils, which are white and turn into creeping branches after flowering, and several new plants with aerial roots are sprouted at the top. The common varieties are: Magnolia, with yellow longitudinal stripes in the center of the leaf. Silver edge hanging orchid, leaf margin green and white. Phnom Penh hanging orchid, leaf margin yellow and white. Cymbidium prefers warm, humid and semi-overcast conditions, the optimum temperature for growth is 15: 25 ℃, and the overwintering temperature should not be lower than 0 ℃. Fear of dry atmosphere, such as low humidity will lead to serious focal tip phenomenon. Avoid direct exposure in summer, otherwise the leaves will turn yellowish and cause scorched leaves. The small plant on the stolon can be selected for water culture. Because the aerial root on the stolon is very suitable for water cultivation, it is very convenient for cultivation. Potted plants can also wash their roots and cultivate them in water, but they need to change water frequently and cut off the rotten roots in real time, and new roots can be sprouted in the water before normal maintenance can be restored.

Third, tortoise back bamboo

Tortoise back bamboo evergreen woody vine. The stem is stout and jointed like bamboo, and there are fine columnar aerial roots on the nodes. The leaves are pinnately notched, and there are oval perforations between the veins, and the leaves are thick and leathery, slightly drooping. Tortoise back bamboo likes warm, humid and semi-overcast conditions, urgent direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves are yellow and scorched leaves appear. The suitable temperature for growth is 25 ℃. The turtle back bamboo is very adapted to the conditions of water cultivation. The plants planted in mud can wash their roots and then grow in water, and new roots can be sent out in about half a month. You can also cut a section of branches and retain the aerial roots for water planting. The leaf shape of tortoise back bamboo is larger, so it is appropriate to use thick and heavy utensils when planting in water to prevent tipping over.

Fourth, synthetic taro

Fruit taro, also known as arrow leaf taro, white mosquito fruit taro. Perennial evergreen vines. Stem nodes are short, nodes with aerial roots, protruding from the base of petiole. Leaves with long stalks, lower leaf sheaths with broad arrow-shaped leaves, thin, light green leaves, white-green in the middle, green on the back. Silver-white fruit taro prefers semi-overcast and high-temperature and humid weather, the suitable temperature is 15-25 ℃, it is afraid of cold, and the leaves begin to turn yellow when it is lower than 10 ℃. The branches can be cut and inserted in the water in the Spring and Autumn period, and new roots can sprout in a week or so. Potted plants can also be washed and planted in water. The root system of silver-white fruit taro is more developed, so the root system should be cut off.
