Ammonium bicarbonate is a kind of available nitrogen fertilizer that can not only quickly provide nutrients for crop growth, but also better control the occurrence of crop diseases. Many farmers will use ammonium bicarbonate to control pests. What are the use methods of ammonium bicarbonate to control diseases and insect pests? What are the points for attention?

How to use ammonium bicarbonate?

1. Deep application mixed with farm manure: when planting potatoes and sweet potatoes, 20-25 kg ammonium bicarbonate per mu and farm manure are mixed evenly and applied into ridges, which can drive away and kill grubs that harm seedlings; before planting vegetables such as leek, garlic, cowpea, cucumber, etc., mix 25-30 kg ammonium bicarbonate per mu with farm manure to kill root maggots and small land tigers.

2. Foliar spraying after dilution: for example, when aphids occur in melons, fruits and vegetables, ammonium bicarbonate is diluted to 80,100 times, and the stems and leaves of these crops are sprayed evenly, which can kill aphids and reduce fungal, bacterial and viral diseases such as blight and Verticillium wilt.

3. Self-made pesticide with copper sulfate as raw material: 3.8 kg of ammonium bicarbonate, 0.5 kg of powdered copper sulfate, mixed evenly and immediately mixed with 1 kg of lime, then packed into a container or airtight nylon bag sealed for 24 hours to make "copper ammonium powder". When in use, the copper ammonium powder is diluted into "copper ammonium mixture" by adding water 1200-1500 times according to the content of copper sulfate. Spraying vegetables and cotton can not only control fungal and bacterial diseases, but also have the effect of topdressing outside the root.

Matters needing attention in the use of ammonium bicarbonate

1. Ammonium bicarbonate can not be foliar sprayed: ammonium bicarbonate has strong corrosiveness to crop leaves and is easy to burn leaves, so it can not be used as fertilizer for crop foliar spraying.

2. Ammonium bicarbonate can not apply fertilizer to dry soil: because the soil is dry, even if the soil is covered deeply, the fertilizer can not be dissolved and absorbed in time for crops to absorb and use.

3. Ammonium bicarbonate can not be applied at high temperature: the volatility of ammonium bicarbonate is closely related to the air temperature, and the higher the temperature is, the more volatile it is, so ammonium bicarbonate should not be applied in the hot sun.

4. Ammonium bicarbonate can not be mixed with alkaline fertilizer: ammonium bicarbonate mixed with alkaline plant ash and lime, or at the same time, will lead to volatilization loss of nitrogen and loss of fertilizer effect, so ammonium bicarbonate should be applied alone.

5. Ammonium bicarbonate can not be mixed with bacterial fertilizer: ammonium bicarbonate will emit a certain concentration of ammonia after application. If it comes into contact with bacterial fertilizer, it will kill the living bacteria in bacterial fertilizer and lose the yield-increasing effect of bacterial fertilizer.

6. Ammonium bicarbonate can not be used overnight after mixing with calcium superphosphate: although the effect of mixed application of ammonium bicarbonate and calcium superphosphate is better than that of single application, it should not be put for a long time after mixing, let alone overnight, because the hygroscopicity of calcium superphosphate is increased. it will make the mixed fertilizer become pulpy or caked and cannot be used.

7. Ammonium bicarbonate can not be mixed with urea: the root system of general crops can not absorb urea directly, and it can only be absorbed and utilized by crops after it is transformed into ammonium nitrogen under the action of urease in soil. Ammonium bicarbonate is applied to the soil, resulting in a short-term acidic reaction in the soil solution, which will accelerate the volatilization loss of nitrogen in urea, so ammonium bicarbonate can not be mixed with urea.

8. Ammonium bicarbonate cannot be mixed with pesticides: both ammonium bicarbonate and pesticides are chemicals and are easily hydrolyzed by moisture. When the two are mixed together, it is easy to produce chemical reactions and reduce the fertilizer and drug efficacy.

9. Ammonium bicarbonate can not be used as seed fertilizer: ammonium bicarbonate has strong irritation and corrosivity. when the ammonia from decomposition comes into contact with the seed, it will fumigate the seed, even burn the seed embryo, and affect germination and seedling emergence.

10. Ammonium bicarbonate cannot be applied in topsoil: ammonium bicarbonate is used as base fertilizer, ditching or burrowing in dry land is 7 cm deep, covering the soil while watering; ploughing while ploughing, raking after ploughing, so that fertilizer can be put into the mud and improve the utilization rate.
