Seaweed, also known as water plants, water moss, is actually a kind of bryophyte, but many people do not know what the use of this plant is. What are the uses of sea flowers and plants? What is its planting technology?

I. the use of sea flowers

Sea flower grass has a very soft physique and strong water absorption, and its water absorption is equivalent to 15 times of its own weight. It has the characteristics of long water retention time but breathable. It is mainly used as the culture medium of precious flowers and plants, which can improve the air permeability and moisturizing performance of the substrate; it can be placed on the upper part of the potted flower and plant substrate to keep moisture, and it can also be placed on the pot bottom to prevent the loss of fine-grained matrix, improve the moisturizing performance of the matrix and enhance the air permeability of the pot bottom. It is widely used in the cultivation of all kinds of orchids and is one of the best materials for planting and cultivating precious flowers. it is not only used as a military first aid kit and substitute defatted cotton, but also used to transport fresh aquatic products and extract into food fresh-keeping materials.

II. Planting techniques of Sea Flower

1. Introduction

The local wild provenance is mainly selected, which will cause the seedlings not to adapt to the changes of the environment and reduce the survival rate. The introduction of 1000-1500 jin of seeds per 667m2 (mu) can also leave seedlings to continue to grow after harvesting seaweed.

2. Select the place

It is appropriate to choose the cold mountain area with an altitude of 800 ℃ 1300 meters, and cultivate the acid sandy cold rotten field with a perennial water temperature of 8 ℃-15 ℃ and a PH value of 5.5 Mel 7.5. It is necessary to ensure that the water source of the cultivated land is pollution-free, that is, there is no industrial waste water and domestic sewage, and there are no villages, paddy fields and vegetable fields in the upper house.

3. Trenching and compartments

In order to facilitate the shaping of the box, put all the effluent before opening the box, and then pour water into the field after finishing the box trench. The width of the box trench is required to be 30 cm wide and 30 cm deep, and the width of the box surface is 1.2 mi 1.5 M. when opening the trench, the thin mud of the box trench is picked up and flattened on the box surface, and the side trench of the box trench is communicated with each other during the field preparation, and the box flat ditch is straight, so that it can have good irrigation capacity.

4. Sowing seeds

The seedlings collected from wild seaweed can be evenly sown on the side of the box; the long ones can be cut into small sections of about 5 cm and evenly sowed on the side of the box, and then suppressed slightly with garden wood, so that the stem segment of sea grass is fully in close contact with the soil, and immediately irrigate after planting, so that the ditch is full of water, and the surface of the box is moist. Keep the field full of water all the year round, and the lack of water can cause yellow dead seedlings or stop growth.

5. Field management

Water and fertilizer: planting sea grass generally does not apply any fertilizer; the box ditch is required to keep the ditch full of moisture all the year round to prevent the lack of water from cracking and affect the growth of sea flowers and plants.

Artificial weeding: weeds in the field are artificially weeded two to three times a year. Two months after sowing, when the seagrass seedlings grow to 5 cm, the weeds can be cut manually with a sickle, remember not to be pulled out by hand. Manual weeding seedlings are easy to be carried with weeds. When the seedlings grow to more than 15 cm, the weeds should be cut with a sickle, and the weeding times should be determined according to the weed growth in the fields planted for many years.

Chemical weeding: in the second year of planting, when the weeds are higher than the seagrass, the seaweed is submerged by irrigation, and glyphosate can be used to spray the weeds exposed on the water surface with glyphosate at a seedling height of about 3mur. the weeding effect is achieved by absorbing pesticides through the weed leaves, and chemical weeding is generally carried out only once.

6. Harvest

After sowing for about one year, sea flowers and plants (water moss) grow up and mature, and they can be harvested by manual extraction or by cutting the ground above 1cm with a knife. The commercial flowers can be harvested and left short as seedlings, or they can be completely harvested and replanted. After the first harvest of the seedlings, the annual harvest can be achieved by immediately cleaning the box ditch and edge ditch, as well as strengthening water management and weed management.

The area with high altitude and cold water is the most suitable area for planting seaweed. As long as the field management is done well, the planting income is relatively objective, and growers can choose whether to plant or not according to their own conditions.
