People engaged in agricultural planting and production all know that nitrogen is a nutrient element of special significance in plant life, and nitrogen fertilizer is the largest variety of fertilizer produced and used in the world. So, what is the function of nitrogen fertilizer? What kinds do you have? Notes for use are attached!

What is the function of nitrogen fertilizer?

Nitrogen fertilizer is not only a component of amino acids in plants, a component of protein, but also a component of chlorophyll, which plays a decisive role in photosynthesis, plays a very important role in crop growth, but also helps crop differentiation. The application of nitrogen fertilizer can not only increase the yield of agricultural products, but also improve the quality of agricultural products.

What kinds of nitrogen fertilizers are there?

(1) ammonium nitrogen fertilizer

Ammonium nitrogen fertilizer includes ammonium bicarbonate (NH4HCO3), ammonium sulfate {(NH4) 2SO4}, ammonium chloride (NH4Cl), ammonia (NH3.H2O), liquid ammonia (NH3) and so on.

(2) nitrate nitrogen fertilizer

Nitrate nitrogen fertilizer includes sodium nitrate (NaNO3), calcium nitrate {Ca (NO3) 2}, ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) and so on.

(3) ammonium nitrate nitrogen fertilizer

Ammonium nitrate nitrogen fertilizer includes ammonium nitrate, ammonium calcium nitrate and ammonium sulfate.

(4) Amido nitrogen fertilizer

Amido nitrogen fertilizer includes urea {CO (NH2) 2}, which contains 46.7% N, and is the fertilizer with the highest nitrogen content in solid nitrogen.

Matters needing attention in the use of nitrogen fertilizer

1. Ammonium nitrogen fertilizer should not be mixed with alkaline fertilizer.

Because the mixed application will produce ammonia, reducing the effect of fertilizer.

2. Nitrate nitrogen fertilizer should not be mixed with organic fertilizer.

Organic fertilizer contains more organic matter, and nitrification will occur under the action of denitrification, resulting in the loss of nitrogen.

3. Nitrate nitrogen fertilizer should not be applied in the field.

Under anaerobic condition, nitrate nitrogen fertilizer is easy to be denitrified and decomposed, resulting in nitrogen loss and reducing fertilizer efficiency. It should be forbidden to apply or pour water before and after heavy rain in dry land.

4. Urea is not suitable for pouring.

After being applied to the soil, urea will be hydrolyzed into ammonium bicarbonate through the action of soil microorganisms, and then decomposed into ammonia and volatilized.

5. Urea should not stick to seeds.

Urea contains a small amount of biuret, which will affect seed germination, and seeds will be poisoned if the concentration is too high. When using urea as seed fertilizer, do not contact the seeds directly or control the amount of urea application.

6. the concentration of urea as extra-root topdressing should not be too high.

As foliar fertilizer, the effect of urea is really good, but the dosage should not be increased blindly.

7. Ammonium bicarbonate should not be applied on the soil surface for too long

Avoid shallow application, the nature of ammonium bicarbonate is unstable, should be covered immediately after application.

8. Ammonium sulfate is not suitable for long-term application.

Ammonium sulfate is an acidic fertilizer, long-term application will increase soil acidity and destroy soil structure. When applied to alkaline soil, sulfate ion will react with calcium ion to solidify the soil. Therefore, it should be used alternately with other nitrogen fertilizers.

In addition, no matter what kind of nitrogen fertilizer is applied, it should be applied deeply. The deep application of nitrogen fertilizer can reduce the loss of direct volatilization of fertilizer, loss with water, nitrification and so on. Deep fertilization is also beneficial to the development of root system, make the root system deep and expand the nutritional area.
