Organic fertilizer is the main raw material from by-product resources rich in organic matter, such as animal excreta or animal and plant residues. Including human feces and urine, stable compost, compost, green manure, cake fertilizer, biogas fertilizer and so on. So, what is the content of commonly used organic fertilizer raw materials? What are the points for attention?

What is the content of commonly used organic fertilizer raw materials?

1. Chicken droppings

Poultry feces contain 25.5% organic matter, 1.63% nitrogen, 1.54% phosphorus, 0.85% potassium, 11% carbohydrates, 7% fiber, and high water content in fresh poultry feces.

The nitrogen in poultry feces is mainly uric acid, which can not be directly absorbed and utilized by crops, and is harmful to crop root growth. at the same time, fresh poultry manure is easy to attract underground pests.

2. Cow dung

Cow dung contains 14.5% organic matter, 0.30% nitrogen 0.45%, 0.15% phosphorus 0.25%, 0.10% potassium 0.15%. It is a late-acting fertilizer with low content of organic matter and nutrients, fine texture, more water content, slow decomposition and low calorific value.

Cow manure has high water content and poor ventilation, and the part of organic matter is difficult to decompose, so it is a cold fertilizer. Loose and high quality organic fertilizer can be obtained by drying fresh species and adding horse manure.

3. Horse dung

Horse dung contains 21% of organic matter, 0.4% of nitrogen, 0.3% of phosphorus and 0.35% of potassium. There are more cellulose and hemicellulose in horse dung. In addition, it also contains lignin, protein, fat, organic acid and many kinds of inorganic salts.

The water in horse manure is easy to evaporate and contains more fiber decomposing bacteria, which is a hot fertilizer. The application of horse manure can improve the properties of clay.

4. Sheep dung

Sheep dung contains 24027% organic matter, 0.7% nitrogen, 0.45% phosphorus and 0.4% potassium. Sheep dung contains more organic matter than other animal dung, the dung quality is finer, and the fertilizer content is thick.

The fever of sheep manure is between horse manure and cow manure, and it is also a hot fertilizer, also known as warm fertilizer, which has a good effect when applied on sandy soil and clayey soil.

5. Pig manure

It contains 15% organic matter, 0.5% nitrogen, 0.5% phosphorus and 0.35% potassium. Pig manure has fine texture and complex composition, including protein, fat, organic acid, cellulose, hemicellulose and inorganic salt. Because it contains more nitrogen, the ratio of carbon to nitrogen is relatively small, about 14:1, which is generally easy to be decomposed by microorganisms, releasing nutrients that can be absorbed and utilized by crops.

Pig manure contains the highest humus, the largest cation substitution, the strongest fertility, but more water content, less cellulose decomposing bacteria, mixed with a small amount of horse manure to inoculate cellulose decomposing bacteria, can greatly increase the fertilizer efficiency.

Second, what are the matters needing attention in the application of organic fertilizer?

1. The nutrients contained in organic fertilizer are not omnipotent.

Organic fertilizer contains many kinds of nutrients, which is an advantage compared with chemical fertilizer with single nutrients, but its nutrients are not balanced.

2. the decomposition of organic fertilizer is slow and the fertilizer effect is late.

Although organic fertilizer contains all the nutrient elements, it has a low content and decomposes slowly in the soil. When the amount of organic fertilizer is not very large, it is difficult to meet the needs of crops for nutrient elements.

3. Organic fertilizer needs to be fermented.

Many organic fertilizers carry germs, insect eggs and weed seeds, and some contain organic compounds that are not conducive to crop growth, so they should be applied after compost fermentation and processing, and raw manure can not go down to the ground.

4. Taboos in use

It should not be mixed with alkaline fertilizer and nitrate nitrogen fertilizer.

Organic fertilizer is rich in organic matter and nutrient elements, which has the advantages of wide sources and comprehensive nutrients, but it also has some disadvantages, such as dirty, smelly, unsanitary, low nutrient content, slow fertilizer efficiency and so on. If you want to think that you are too troublesome to deal with it and are afraid that it will not be handled properly, you can buy factory-treated organic fertilizer directly.
