There are many kinds of nutrient elements in compound fertilizer which can increase yield more significantly than single fertilizer and can meet the fertilizer requirements of most crops. at present it has been widely recognized and applied. So, how to use compound fertilizer correctly? Can I water the flowers with water?

What kind of fertilizer is compound fertilizer?

Compound fertilizer is a compound fertilizer made by chemical reaction or ammoniation granulation process and synthesized by obvious chemical reaction. the common types include diammonium phosphate, monoammonium phosphate, nitric phosphate, potassium nitrate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate and so on. This kind of compound fertilizer contains two or more elements needed by crops, has a high nutrient content, and can supply nutrients needed by crops for a relatively balanced and long time, so as to improve the yield-increasing effect of fertilization.

Second, how to use compound fertilizer correctly?

1. It should be used as base fertilizer.

The fertilizer effect of compound fertilizer is long, and a large number of experiments show that base application is better for both binary and ternary compound. This is because compound fertilizer contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients, especially in the early stage of crops, which is very sensitive to phosphorus and potassium, so phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is required to be applied early as base fertilizer. The process of coating and granulation is adopted in the production process of controlled release compound fertilizer, which has slow and stable fertilizer efficiency, slower decomposition than simple chemical fertilizer, less nutrient leaching and high utilization rate, so it is suitable to be used as base fertilizer. The general dosage is 30 to 40 kilograms per mu. Compound fertilizer is not suitable for seedling stage fertilizer and middle and late stage fertilizer to prevent greedy green growing.

2. Replenish available nitrogen fertilizer in time

The decomposition of compound fertilizer is slow. For crops that use compound fertilizer as base fertilizer during sowing, available nitrogen fertilizer should be added in time according to the law of fertilizer demand of different crops to meet the nutritional needs of crops.

3. Attention should be paid to selecting the appropriate concentration.

The concentration of compound fertilizer varies greatly, and most compound fertilizers are allocated according to the average nutrients of soil types in a certain region and the proportion of fertilizer required by staple crops. There are high, medium and low concentrations of compound fertilizers on the market, with low concentrations of total nutrients ranging from 25% to 30%, medium concentrations between 30% and 40%, and high concentrations above 40%. According to different regions, soils and crops, we should choose to use economical and efficient compound fertilizer. In general, high concentration compound fertilizer is used in cash crops with good quality, less residue and high utilization rate.

4. Avoid direct contact between seeds and fertilizers

The high concentration of compound fertilizer will affect seedling emergence and even burn seedlings and rotten roots. When sowing, the seeds should be about 5 to 10 centimeters apart from the application of compound fertilizer in holes and strips, and must not be applied directly at the same point with the seeds, resulting in fertilizer damage.

5. Attention should be paid to the scope of use of nutrients.

The ratio of raw materials of compound fertilizer is different, and the raw materials of different brands and different concentrations of compound fertilizer are different, so it should be selected and used according to soil types and crop types in production. Compound fertilizer containing nitrate should not be used in leafy vegetables and paddy fields, and should not be applied in saline-alkali soil; compound fertilizer containing potassium chloride or chloride ion should not be used in taboo crops or saline-alkali soil; compound fertilizer containing potassium sulfate should not be applied in paddy field and acid soil. Otherwise, it will reduce the fertilizer efficiency and even poison the crops.

6. Deep application of covering soil

Compound fertilizer contains two or more large amounts of elements, ammonia surface application is easy to volatilize loss or Rain Water loss, phosphorus and potassium are easy to be fixed by the soil, especially phosphorus is less mobile in the soil, and it is not easy to be absorbed and utilized by crop roots when applied to the surface, and it is not conducive to deep root rooting. in case of drought, fertilizer can not be dissolved, fertilizer efficiency is even worse. Therefore, the application of compound fertilizer should avoid surface application as far as possible, and cover soil deeply.

Can the compound fertilizer water the flowers?

1. Compound fertilizer can water flowers with water. Most of the compound fertilizers are alkaline fertilizers, which are suitable for flowers growing in alkaline soil such as rose, hyacinth and pomegranate, but not suitable for flowers growing in acidic soil, such as Anthurium andraeanum, Chunlan and so on. Flowers that do not like multi-element fertilizers can not be used, such as pineapple, Cymbidium and so on.

2. There are many kinds of compound fertilizer, which contains different elements and proportions. Taking the compound fertilizer containing 15-16% nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium respectively as an example, it can be mixed with water according to the ratio of 1RU 1000 when watering flowers. If the basin soil is relatively dry, it is necessary to reduce the concentration of compound fertilizer to the ratio of 1RU 1500 to avoid fertilizer damage. When watering flowers, you only need to be evenly on the surface of the soil and avoid pouring fertilizer and water on the leaves so as not to burn the leaves.

Generally speaking, compound fertilizer refers to chemical fertilizer containing two or more nutrient elements. Correct and rational use of compound fertilizer plays a very important role in balanced fertilization, improving fertilizer use efficiency and promoting the high and stable yield of crops.
