I. during the planting period

If you want to leave a variety with white flowers, the lowest Hypocotyl is green; if it is a safflower variety, the bottom is purple. First decide which kind of flower color to stay, and pay attention to whether it is mixed during germination and flowering. This process is called "removing fake and removing miscellaneous".

In addition, you can also distinguish from height and height, if you want to keep shorter varieties, if you find mixed higher varieties during planting, it will be removed, and vice versa.

Soybeans for seed use must ensure the purity of the variety, which can be distinguished by the consistency of the color of the Hypocotyl (arrow).

2. After harvest

The preparation process after harvest will also determine the purity of the variety. Modulation includes drying, sorting and storage. It is divided into large, medium and small seeds, and now edamame beans almost always use large seeds as seeds; soybeans or black beans are usually selected as seeds because they are already medium or small seeds, and the small ones are given to the processing plant to grind or make soy milk and tofu.

After the seeds are collected, they must be dried first and graded by size with a grading machine. To pay special attention to the drying temperature, commercial soybeans are dried at a slight high temperature, and it does not matter if it does not exceed 40 degrees Celsius; however, seeds must be dried at a low temperature so as not to hurt the germ and try not to damage the skin. The drying temperature may vary depending on the equipment, usually 35 to 37 degrees Celsius in an open dryer and 32 to 34 degrees Celsius in a closed loop.

For storage, large space bags or medium-sized feed bags can be used. There is usually a layer of plastic bag in the feed bag, which can be sealed and put into the freezer.

In fact, almost all farmers know how to keep seeds, and the reason for their failure may be that the previous steps and techniques have not been done well. Even if the farmers already have the seeds at the front end, they do not bother to remove the fake and miscellaneous seeds, and the purity of the seeds is not pure, and the final cultivation results and yield may not be very ideal, falling short of the success.

The principle of keeping seeds is to select the best seeds, and the quality must be higher than the requirements of making goods.
