Turmeric is a vegetable we eat in our daily life. Do you know how to grow it? What are the high-yield varieties of ginger? You know what? Let's first look at the cultivation method of turmeric.

The suitable temperature for the whole growth period of ginger is 15-30℃, and the best time for planting ginger is around Qingming. The relative moisture content of soil suitable for germination stage is 70-80%, too little soil moisture will affect growth, too much moisture will cause mildew and reduce quality. Wild turmeric is born under the forest, although it has shade-tolerant habits, the general suitable annual sunshine number is 1750-2000 hours. Turmeric has a strong adaptability to soil, and can be planted on some poor soil to obtain certain benefits.

There are four propagation methods of turmeric, namely seed propagation, rhizome propagation, plant bud propagation and tissue culture propagation. At present, there are two methods of rhizome propagation and seed propagation.

Cultivation techniques:

(i) Sowing method

1, seed breeding: generally adopt field open space seedling. Sowing should be carried out in late March to mid-April. Seeds should be sown with fine sand or fertile soil. They should be sown shallow and covered with grass to preserve moisture. It takes about 25~30 days for seedlings to emerge.

2. Direct seeding of ginger: Select 1~2-year-old ginger pieces with uniform thickness and fresh vitality as seed ginger, cut them into 3~5 cm long (weighing about 15~20 g), keep 1~2 latent healthy buds on each ginger piece, and use about 150~250 kg per mu.

About 8000~10000 plants are planted per mu (thin fertile field and dense thin field); the sowing time can be selected from spring sowing (February ~ March) and winter sowing (November ~ December), with winter sowing as the best; the planting depth is 8~ 10cm, and the soil thickness is 6- 8cm.

(ii) Field management

Timely topdressing: spray urea 2kg/mu at seedling stage (late April), topdressing potassium sulfate 6kg/mu and urea 2kg/mu at initial flowering stage (late May ~ early June).

Intertill weeding: two times of intertill weeding shall be carried out before closing the row. For malignant thatch, 10% licorice phosphine can be used per mu.

Scientific management of water: normal climate years, can not irrigate; drought is serious, to water and irrigation, in order to promote the good growth of ginger block and saponin accumulation.

Disease and pest control: underground stems and stems of cutworm, can be used 90% crystal suitable for 500 times the liquid spray kill; easy to send root rot disease of the field, before sowing can be used to reduce the harm of multi-bacteria recording seed dressing.

Chemical regulation: in June, in July and August, in July and August, in June, in July and August, in June, in June, in July and August, in August, in June, in July, in August, in July, in August, in June
