Zoox, which is now Amazon's self-driving company, earlier announced the acquisition of Strio.AI, a new robot entrepreneur that makes strawberries, and is expected to integrate its technology into its self-driving design.

Strio.AI was founded by MIT alumni in 2020 and is headquartered in Boston. Robots are built mainly through automated designs such as computer vision to pick strawberries and other crops to help farms solve the problem of not being able to hire enough manpower to pick during the epidemic.

After joining Zoox, Ruijie He, co-founder and CEO of Strio.AI, will serve as Zoox Insight Director, responsible for vehicle perception design, while the other four senior engineering teams will also join the Zoox engineering team, and Zoox will also work with Strio.AI to set up a R & D base on the East Coast of the United States.

However, the acquisition by Zoox means that Strio.AI 's original focus on agricultural harvesting technology will come to an end, and its technology will be integrated into self-driving design in the future.
