The animal production experiment shows that sweet potato is a kind of high starch energy raw material, and the production of diversified sweet potato products has become increasingly prosperous in recent years. The planting area of sweet potato has steadily grown to 9700 hectares, with an annual output of nearly 250000 metric tons, which is simply estimated on the basis of 24% special products. the annual output of sweet potato is nearly 60, 000 metric tons, resulting in great pressure on the industry to eliminate the extra products of sweet potato. In practice, the application of special sweet potato as feed may be more economical and feasible.

Two years ago, the Animal products Research Institute began to study the replacement of corn flour with extra sweet potato products, which were transformed into edible feed materials for dairy cattle through silage technology, so that the leftovers were effectively transformed into high-quality animal nutrition sources for Chinese people. at the same time, reduce production costs to enhance industrial competitiveness, but also help to reduce the environmental burden.

It is pointed out in the livestock production test that feeding livestock and poultry with sweet potatoes should pay attention to the appropriate equivalent. The feeding experiment on lactating cattle shows that sweet potato silage can be used as a source of feed raw material for lactating cattle, but replacing high amount of corn meal with sweet potato silage will significantly reduce milk yield and crude income, and it is recommended to replace the low-medium amount of corn meal. And can increase the crude income by about 5%.

In September this year, the Animal testing Institute transferred this feed technology to Jinxiang Biotechnology, a related enterprise of Guayuan Company, and jointly promoted the listing of fresh milk from Hanji cattle, writing a new page for the promotion of domestic circular agriculture.
