MIT green energy industry chain! Tepco creates the largest 150MW Tainan photoelectric field on the ground in China

Following the completion of the then largest 100MW (100000 tons) solar field in China in Zhangbin Industrial Zone in 2019, Tepco further made use of the 214ha abandoned salt beach land in General Tainan and Qigu District last year, and used 480000 photovoltaic panels to re-create the Tainan Yantian Solar Farm with the largest surface surface and installation capacity of 150MW (150000 feet). Taiwan Power said that after the completion of the case, it ranked 46th in the world, and it was the "MIT green energy industry chain" created by nearly 10 domestic equipment manufacturers. After completion, it can generate more than 200 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity each year, provide electricity for more than 50, 000 households throughout the year, and bring annual carbon reduction benefits of 114000 tons, while still keeping the site with flood detention function.

Taiwan Power explained that the Tainan Yantian Photoelectricity Farm made use of the 214ha salt beach land abandoned by General and Qigu District, invested 9.65 billion yuan, used more than 480000 high-efficiency solar panels, combined with ground and surface photovoltaic modes at the same time, and set up nearly 40, 000 precast concrete foundation piles. The photoelectric panel frame was 2.1m high to create the largest photoelectric field in the country with the installation capacity up to 150MW. It also maintains the flood detention function of the existing salt flat land at the same time. Among them, equipment ranging from solar photovoltaic plates, cables and communication cables, brackets and piles to converters and step-up transformers that help generate electricity into the national power grid are all provided by local manufacturers in Taiwan.

Taiwan Power pointed out that the 150MW of Yantian Optical Power Plant in Tainan was formally integrated into the grid on September 14 last year. It generated 100 million kilowatt-hours of electricity on February 12 this year. At present, it can produce an average of about 615000 kilowatt-hours per day. As of 30, the cumulative power generation has reached 120 million kilowatt-hours. After it is officially opened, it is expected to generate more than 200 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, providing electricity for about 57000 households throughout the year, and 114000 tons of carbon reduction benefits each year.
