Including lighting, ventilation, watering, fertilization, pruning and other controls, to create necessary conditions for the healthy growth of orchids.

The main results are as follows: (1) only by controlling the proper light without harming the orchid can the orchid carry out photosynthesis, accumulate the necessary nutrients, root, sprout and blossom. Light control is to simulate the light conditions of orchid growth in nature, and its growth habits like scattered light, so orchids should avoid the hot sun, but with soft refraction, everything depends on the season, and the morning dew in spring is very good, while the summer and autumn seasons need to be covered.

(2) the place where orchids are ventilated must be ventilated. the wind to the orchid is like a person who needs oxygen, light wind and smooth air, which can not only make the roots and leaves grow, but also prevent disease and deworming.

(3) watering potted orchids block communication with the earth and atmosphere, so we must pay attention to it at any time, depending on the season, climate, orchid basin, watering when watering, not watering, some orchid plants grow vigorously, need more water, and some orchid plants are weaker, need less water, depending on the orchid. After the Spring Equinox, the flowering ended, the temperature gradually increased, the orchid seedlings began to grow slowly, and the demand for water gradually increased, so it was necessary to expand the watering range and increase the amount of water to meet the needs of spring germination and growth. In summer, the climate is easy to dry, and the orchid basin must be watered immediately before the sun rises in the morning, or after the orchid basin cools down in the evening, large water and small water can be used to cross-water, and it must be blown dry after watering, otherwise, after the sun comes out, as soon as the temperature rises, the water in the orchid leaves and orchid hearts will still be dry, and the water will be heated as soon as the sun shines, which can easily induce stem rot and soft rot. After entering the autumn, the autumn wind is dry, the orchid pot can not be dry, it is easy to cause the dehydration of orchid seedlings, affecting the normal flowering and growth of stamens and orchid seedlings, so it should be watered at any time. In winter, orchids enter the period of slow growth and dormancy, and the water requirement is weakened. For the watering of orchids should be grasped as follows: regular watering, and should be fully watered, directly from the leaves, so that water continues to flow out from the bottom of the basin, after 20 minutes the most repeated, which is equivalent to a regular cleaning of orchids, the basin of dirt, erosion, disease are irrigated, and then immediately ventilated, with fans, ventilators, exhaust fans, usually only small water to moisturize orchid seedlings, and immediately blow dry after watering.

Orchid water, the demand is very high, the best water is winter snow water, tap water after a night of storage, the next day.

(4) fertilizing orchids need base fertilizer and topdressing all the year round (except winter). As for what fertilizer is suitable for people, most of us now use vegetable cake fertilizer that has been fermented for more than 2 years. Others, such as sheep dung, beans, eggshell, bone powder, turtle shell, human white (that is, dung pit slices) are used for grinding or soaking into juice.

The above organic fertilizers are used as the main base fertilizers, which are beneficial to the growth of seedlings, as well as some chemical fertilizers, because of their strong pertinence, convenience and rapid fertilizer effect, but they are easy to hurt seedlings. Therefore, choose all kinds of fertilizers needed by orchids as far as possible, use them flexibly according to the actual situation, use more organic fertilizers as much as possible, use less compound fertilizers, especially chemical fertilizers, and at the same time, both should be used carefully. The amount and thickness of fertilizer should be determined according to the growth strength of orchids and the change of seasonal climate, and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be applied in stages and as needed according to the growth characteristics of orchids. If the weather is more than 32 ℃ in summer, please do not apply fertilizer in the absence of orchid facilities to prevent reverse osmosis from harming orchid seedlings. Generally speaking, the principle of fertilization is to apply thin fertilizer diligently.

(5) pruning orchids are perennial plants, which usually have more than old leaves and false bulbs, which affect their appearance and ventilation, and are easy to be infected with diseases, so they should be pruned in time to remove old leaves, diseased leaves and dry old fake bulbs. Before pruning, pruning tools should be disinfected with alcohol, potassium permanganate, steam, boiling water and so on.
