In view of the continuous heavy rainfall brought by Typhoon No. 16 "Rosa" this year, it has had a serious impact on our city. Torrential rain has fallen everywhere, the water level of rivers has soared, and large areas of farmland have been flooded. It has a serious impact on the forest and flower nurseries in our city, especially in the plain area. In order to reduce the loss of seedling and flower production in our city, the following suggestions are put forward to rescue the flooded nursery. Please seriously organize and implement them.

I. timely drainage

After the forest nursery is affected by the flood, it should be rescued as soon as possible to reduce the loss. First of all, it is necessary to dredge the ditch in time, eliminate waterlogging and silt debris, tidy up the nursery and level the seedbed so that the open water flows directly and the dark water falls straight down.

2. Helping seedlings and washing seedlings

After the water recedes, it is necessary to correct the seedlings in time, wash the silt sundries on the seedlings, and increase the photosynthetic efficiency. Loosening soil and weeding will be carried out after the seedlings are restored to life, so as to promote the growth and development of seedling roots. This is the basic measure for rescuing seedlings, and it must be done well.

III. Timely fertilization

After the nursery land is slightly dry, organic fertilizer and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be applied, and plant ash can also be applied to prevent seedlings from rotting roots. As the seedlings are about to enter the winter dormancy period, the use of pure nitrogen fertilizer is strictly prohibited. After a few days, a small amount of plant growth promoters can be sprayed to promote the root absorptive capacity of seedlings, accelerate the healthy growth of seedlings and improve the ability of resistance to diseases and insect pests.

IV. Disease prevention and sterilization

All flooded seedlings should be prevented and sterilized. On the basis of cleaning up the silt and debris in the nursery, the nursery can be fully sprayed with 0.5% muri 1% Bordeaux solution for disinfection. If sudden collapse is found, topiramate or carbendazim should be used in time to prevent and cure it.
