How to apply the base fertilizer? What matters needing attention are there for flowers to change pots and apply base fertilizer?
The simple transplanting technique of changing pots can greatly improve the survival rate of plants. Let's learn about it when we change the basin.
What is the base fertilizer.
The base fertilizer is the base fertilizer, which refers to the fertilizer applied in the pot when potted plants change pots or change soil. It mainly supplies the nutrients needed during the whole growing period of plants, creates good soil conditions for crop growth and development, and also plays the role of improving soil and fertilizing soil fertility.
How to apply the base fertilizer.
The application of base fertilizer should be considered from four aspects: the type and quantity of base fertilizer, the variety of fertilizer and the depth of application. From the point of view of species, organic fertilizer (including farm manure, stable manure, green manure and cake fertilizer) is suitable to be used as base fertilizer, and nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and trace fertilizer are also suitable as base fertilizer. It is very important for crop growth and development, especially in seedling stage and early stage of crop growth, to determine the amount of base fertilizer, especially the amount of chemical fertilizer, the level of soil fertility must be considered. More than 3 cubic meters / mu of organic fertilizer should be applied in soils with organic matter less than 1.2%. When the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and trace elements in the soil are lower than the effective critical value of crop fertilization, the bottom application of these fertilizers should be selected first, especially when crops need more phosphate fertilizer in the early stage. The specific amount of various fertilizers as base fertilizer can be determined with reference to the results of local field fertilizer experiments for many years and comprehensive factors such as target yield. in general, about 30% of the amount of nitrogen fertilizer is applied on high-fertility soils, while 50%-70% of nitrogen fertilizer is used as base fertilizer in medium and low fertility soils, while phosphorus, potash and micro-fertilizers are applied as much as possible. In terms of fertilizer varieties, ammonium bicarbonate in nitrogen fertilizer, common calcium, diammonium, calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, three materials in phosphate fertilizer, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, plant ash in potassium fertilizer, zinc fertilizer and manganese fertilizer in micro fertilizer are all suitable to be used as base fertilizer.
In terms of depth, the general base fertilizer should be applied to the whole plough layer, that is, a depth of 15 to 20 centimeters. For organic fertilizer, nitrogen fertilizer, potash fertilizer and micro-fertilizer, they can be mixed and scattered evenly on the surface, and then ploughed into the soil to achieve a uniform mixture of fertilizer and soil in the whole plough layer, so as to facilitate the absorption and utilization of nutrients in different root layers of crops. Phosphate fertilizer is easy to be fixed and lose its effectiveness because of its poor mobility, so it should be divided into upper and lower layers, that is, the lower layer is applied to a depth of 15-20 cm, and the upper layer is applied to a depth of about 5 cm. The upper layer mainly meets the demand for phosphorus at the seedling stage, while the lower layer supplies phosphorus nutrition in the middle and later stages of crop growth.
What matters needing attention are there for flowers to change pots and apply base fertilizer?
First, when applying base fertilizer to the plant, it is necessary to avoid direct contact with the root system of the plant, so as to avoid burns and cause unnecessary damage.
Second, the amount of fertilizer should not be too large. Generally speaking, the application amount of woody flowers with a diameter of 40 cm in pots is about 200-300 grams of mature organic fertilizer or 20 grams of chemical fertilizer.
Third, the methods of fertilization are point application, bottom application, point application is to dig a hole in the basin, put fertilizer into the hole after covering the soil, the depth is generally more than 5 centimeters. The bottom application is generally carried out in combination with changing the basin and soil. After the plant is poured out of the basin, put a layer of soil at the bottom of the basin, then put the fertilizer on the bottom soil, and then put a layer of thin soil on top of the plant. When planting, the soil must be subverted or tamped, and it should be maintained normally after pouring enough water. If the plants with more soil are removed, they should be maintained in a cool place, and the plants without soil removal can be maintained in accordance with the habits of the plants.
