Taitung ranks first among Taiwan's top ten most popular international travel cities
Taitung, one of the top ten most popular international travel cities in Taitung, is firmly in the first place.
Taitung's natural slow living atmosphere, pure and natural scenery of mountains and seas, and leisurely and cozy tourism style are not only the first choice for going abroad on the island, but also the first place among the top 10 most popular overseas travel cities in Taiwan in 2020, with the number of tourists exceeding 10 million in 109 years. Compared with 108 years, it has grown by 24.78%, creating an upsurge of national madness in Taitung.
According to a travel report released by travel operator Expedia Zhiyou a few days ago, Taitung won the first place in the top 10 national travel cities most loved by Taiwan tourists in 2020. The report points out that due to the impact of the epidemic, tourists tend to stay away from the hustle and bustle of villages and towns, road travel, mountain and sea camping, secret exploration and other deep tourism, and these tourism patterns can be experienced in Taitung.
According to the Transport and Tourism Development Office, the number of tourists in Taitung reached 10333218 in 109, an increase of 24.78% compared with 8281101 in the whole of 108. In the absence of foreign tourists, the number of tourists still increased by nearly 1/4. Thus it can be seen that under the influence of the epidemic, Taitung's unique type of slow-living tourism is favored by the Chinese people, which not only caused a sensation in the National Travel Service, but even created an upsurge in Taitung.
In the future, Taitung will continue to launch more tourism games, including the creation of recreational waters in the Pacific Ocean on the east coast, the introduction of bicycle routes and characteristic railway tourism, and other creative games, so as to keep Dongpiao popular and continue the popularity of Mad Taiwan.
