There is hope for halving pesticides! Taiwan's first microbial factory inaugurated as a key platform for R & D and mass production

The microbial factory built by Taiwan Agricultural Science and Technology Research Institute was unveiled at the Pingtung Agricultural Science and Technology Park today (November 16). The plant will act as a platform for converting R & D energy into quantitative production, assist industry equipment planning and standard process development, and put all kinds of microbial products into production and application.
Microbial preparations can be widely used in animal and plant feed and aquaculture to overcome diseases and insect pests and promote crop growth. For example, adding animal probiotics to chicken feed not only makes chickens healthier, but also reduces the odor pollution of chicken manure, which can also be used as a more widely used fertilizer.
Microbial preparations are highly expected by the agricultural community, and it is an important way for the Council of Agriculture to achieve the goal of halving pesticides. After the "Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, a consortium legal person," was set up under the leadership of the Council of Agriculture in 2014, the institute actively promoted microbial preparations and developed biological pesticides and biological fertilizers.
