Potted friends who are familiar with Laoya persimmon all know that, like golden marbles, it is a good material for bonsai production, which is also a fact obvious to all. And as long as the maintenance and management, it can hang fruit every year, so in the hands of rich experience in planting or bonsai master, Laoya persimmon can maintain a beautiful ornamental posture every year, and can be presented as a bonsai every year.

Although Laoya persimmon is very suitable for viewing fruit, some persimmons raised in their homes are very easy to lose fruit after hanging fruit. The loss of fruit for viewing bonsai will undoubtedly greatly reduce the ornamental value of bonsai. Of course, this is what the vast number of crow friends do not want to see. Everyone hopes to see Laoyao persimmon bonsai hang out a lot of good-looking fruit every year as scheduled.

The phenomenon of hanging fruit and falling fruit in Laoya persimmon is more common, and it is also easier to occur. To investigate the reasons, there are mainly the following aspects, which need to arouse our enough attention and thinking. Today, the editor came to discuss with you the reason why the old raven persimmon fell off. I hope it can bring some help to everyone to raise the old raven persimmon.

1. No pollination

Laoya persimmon is usually dioecious, and there are few monoecious plants. But this kind of tree has a very prominent feature, that is, it has the characteristic of unisexuality. In other words, if a single plant is planted, both male and female plants are expected to blossom and bear fruit. However, it is more difficult to bear fruit when the flowers are not pollinated, and even if there is fruit, it is easy to fall off before maturity. And the fruit of flowers without pollination can not produce seeds, so it is impossible to harvest mature seeds for sowing and reproduction.

Second, improper watering

Although Laoya persimmon needs to consume water constantly during the flowering and fruiting stage, and this plant also likes the moist growth environment, it is very easy to cause the phenomenon of falling flowers and fruits if it is watered too frequently and the amount of water is too large. Therefore, the frequent fruit loss of Laoyao persimmon during the flowering and fruiting period may be caused by the fact that we have not mastered the watering method. In general, watering should be properly controlled during the flowering and fruit period, and large irrigation should be avoided to keep the basin soil slightly moist.

III. Improper fertilization

Laoya persimmon should apply less or stop applying nitrogen fertilizer during the flowering and fruiting stage, so as to avoid its old branches and leaves and rarely hang fruit. In order to promote the flowering and fruiting of Laoyao persimmon, some phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be added to the persimmon during flowering and fruiting stage, and some thin potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution should be sprayed on the plant by spraying. However, if the fertilization is improper, especially if a large amount of fertilizer other than phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is applied, or the concentration of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is too high, it may cause the fruit loss of Laoya persimmon.

4. Too many flowers and fruits

Although Laoya persimmon is very suitable for making hanging fruit bonsai, it is not that the more flowers and fruits, the better. We also need to consider the bearing capacity of the plant and the storage of nutrients in the pot. If there are too many flowers and fruits, it is often easier to cause greater nutrition competition, resulting in nutrition is too scattered, the implementation of specific flowers and fruits on the less. This is easy to cause the phenomenon of insufficient nutrition, resulting in falling flowers and fruits. Therefore, if the number of persimmon flowers and fruits is too large, we must timely thinning flowers and fruits, so as to improve the quality of retained fruits and avoid abnormal fruit loss.

Of course, in addition to the above four main reasons, the phenomenon of fruit drop after hanging persimmon fruit may also become unsuitable for plant growth due to sudden changes in the environment, or the plant may be infected with diseases and insect pests, or the plant may have rotten roots or root damage, or the natural fruit drop may occur under the action of metabolism in autumn and winter. These are the factors that cause the fruit loss of Laoya persimmon. If we exclude the above four main reasons, we should consider these factors and then rescue them in time.
