The weather changes violently in autumn and there is a large temperature difference between day and night, which is the season with high incidence of pig disease. Especially when biosafety measures and production management are not in place, pigs are prone to disease, especially respiratory and digestive tract diseases, such as classical swine fever, blue ear disease, circum disease, foot-and-mouth disease, infectious pleuropneumonia, Haemophilus parasuis, mycoplasma disease, atrophic rhinitis, streptococcosis, porcine dysentery, enteritis, colibacillosis, porcine eperythrozoonosis, toxoplasmosis and so on. The acute onset of these diseases can cause the death of a large number of pigs. if they develop into chronic or latent in the pig herd, it can cause slow growth of pigs, increase the cost of raising pigs, and seriously affect the economic benefits of pig farms, so autumn is the key season to prevent pig diseases.

Prevention and control measures of pig disease in autumn

1. Do well biosafety measures and production management

a. Pig farms should establish and improve the daily disinfection system, vehicles, materials, personnel and pig houses and their appliances should be disinfected regularly, and pigs should use iodine to strengthen local disinfection in the process of immune injection, cutting, cutting tail, removing teeth and so on.

b. If the diseased pigs are isolated and treated in time, the pigs with no feeding value will be eliminated in time, and the feces and dead pigs will be treated innocuously to eliminate the source of infection.

c. Avoid all kinds of stress factors. Do a good job of cold prevention and warmth in autumn and winter, ensure reasonable feeding density, ensure pig house hygiene, scientific management, standardize introduction, and strictly implement the quarantine and isolation system.

d. Strengthen the feeding and management of pigs to ensure the supply of adequate and balanced nutrients, so as to improve the resistance of pigs.

e. Piglets do a good job in colostrum management to ensure that each piglet eats enough colostrum within 12 hours after delivery to enhance piglet resistance.

two。 Reasonable vaccine immunization

Formulate reasonable immunization procedures to avoid premature immunization, maternal antibody offset, immunization is too late, can not protect pigs, high incidence areas should strengthen immunization.

3. Drug prevention and treatment

Do a good job in preventive pig herd health care. For pig farms with frequent occurrence of pig diseases, pig farms should make preventive health care for susceptible pigs in advance before entering the high incidence season of respiratory and digestive tract diseases (especially in spring and autumn).

It can be targeted to feed pigs with sensitive antibiotics. For example, adding doxycycline and sulfamethazine tartrate to feed can prevent and treat respiratory and digestive tract diseases. Doxycycline belongs to tetracycline antibiotics, which has strong antibacterial activity and the least toxicity (pharmacology). Tylenesulfamethazine tartrate is a compound preparation, which has the functions of disease prevention, treatment and growth promotion. The combination of the two can prevent and treat common respiratory and digestive tract diseases.
