How do dahlias grow? The Cutting Method of Dahlia
Dahlia this kind of plant is a kind of weeds on the roadside in rural areas. There are many wild flowers in rural areas. The dahlias planted in flowerpots in our community are also in full bloom, with many colors, red, white, yellow and pink. But this color is not what I like, because the petals are too gorgeous, too thick, not the kind I like, plus this plant is so capable of blooming and growing so fast. So it's not the ideal type of floret.
But one of my friends' house was got when visiting relatives in other places, and it was wild, and no one had ever seen it. The color was light blue, very elegant and beautiful, so I pinched a section of branches and went home to cut them. Unexpectedly, they were really alive. Just in addition, some flower friends asked me, "can dahlias still be cut in this season?"
Although the current season is so hot, but for this kind of plant, cutting is not a problem at all, for this kind of plant, such as weeds, cutting is the easiest, and the survival rate of this kind of plant cutting is the same as that of green pine. the survival rate is so high that almost all trees can survive. Next, I would like to share with you my little cutting experience.
Directly speaking, what needs to be paid attention to, dahlias are the same as Dali flowers, and they are the same subject as chrysanthemums. There are many colors and kinds of flowers, some of which are bigger than the bowl mouth, and the flowering period is needless to say very long. 12 months a year is generally half a year in bloom, the flowering period is so long. Because the flowering period is relatively long, so many parks like to plant this kind of plant, coupled with the cheap nature of dahlia, very cheap, planting more.
Now the dahlia is in the flowering stage, even in the flowering stage can also be cut, and the survival rate of cutting does not affect, can still take root. Cutting steps of Dahlia:
The first step, pruning branches: when any plant is cutting, the choice of branches is the most important link, the quality of branches determines the survival rate of cutting, determines whether it can take root in a short period of time, Dahlia cuttings in the selection of branches, branches had better have 2-3 bud points, to put it bluntly, it is two sections, when we are pruning dahlia, the pruned branches are the most suitable for cutting. Cut the leaves off the branches in half.
The second step, the choice of substrate: the substrate is the soil for cutting. Under normal circumstances, the soil for cutting can be horticultural, adding a little vermiculite, or cutting with pure water or sand. The soil for cutting should be permeable and sterilized, otherwise it is easy to infect.
The third step, cutting branches: in order to take root in a short period of time, quickly pot, we can apply rooting agent on the branches, if there is no rooting agent direct cutting is also possible, rooting time can be increased by 2-3 days, the soil first insert a hole with a finger, and then cut the branches into it. It won't take half a month to take root.
When the root system of the seedling grows to 3-5cm, we can divide the pot and put it on the pot. We can take the pot completely in half a month. The cycle is very short. A pot of new dahlias will be fine in a month, and it will sprout and blossom normally in the coming year.
