Cutting geranium is most suitable for spring and autumn, and the top branch is the best, and the length of the cuttings needs to be about 10cm. Put the cuttings in a ventilated place to dry the moisture of the cut, and then soak the base of the cuttings with 0.01% indole acetic acid for 2 seconds, so that the cuttings can be cut into the substrate, good maintenance management, and can take root in 2-3 weeks.

1. Cutting time

Geranium likes to grow in a warm environment, and it will enter a dormant period in high temperature weather, so according to its growth habits, it is most suitable for cutting in spring and autumn every year, so that it can take root quickly, and the survival rate of the plant can also be guaranteed. If cutting in summer, the cuttings are easy to rot.

2. Branch treatment

Cutting geranium needs to select suitable branches, the top branch is the best, cut off a section of 10cm branch from the mother plant as cuttings, then put it in a ventilated place to dry the cut, and soak the base of the cuttings with 0.01% indole acetic acid for 2 seconds before cutting, which is more conducive to its rooting and survival.

3. Cuttage maintenance

Insert the treated branches into the sand bed or the mixture of expanded perlite and peat, and then keep the matrix slightly moist, and keep the plant in a semi-shade ventilated place, during which the temperature should be controlled between 13-18 ℃, which can take root in about 2-3 weeks, and then it can be transplanted and planted when it grows stably.
