Spring comes, a lot of burst pot meat should be moved to change the pot, winter was you abuse dead empty flowerpot need to fill it. Before always heard flower friends say that he just bought or just moved the pot of meat in a very bad state, but also soft collapse is falling leaves, anxious not to do. Just scan the blind here. If you know how to do it, you don't have to read it. First, let's talk about how to move pots of newly bought succulent plants under normal circumstances.

Fresh succulents. Want to help them get a nice new pot? Plants can be transferred to a completely new environment through pot transfer, which promotes meaty growth. That's why some plants grow better when they're removed. However, moving pots is risky, because any plant, as long as it changes its roots, needs time to recover; after moving pots, if the external conditions are not suitable, such as high temperature and cold, it will affect its growth status and even directly cause death, especially in snowy days.

Tell everyone below.

1. Take off the basin

To remove the red plastic pot, you can first gently pinch the outer pot, so that the peat soil inside is loose, when removing the pot, it is recommended that the soil is completely dry, there are two reasons, because when the soil is wet, it means that the roots of the plant are working to absorb water and hurt the roots; plus the pot is easy to cause some wet soil attached to the pot and the plant, which is not very beautiful. After the soil is slightly loosened, the soil can be poured out without too much force! Fat tender leaves too hard easy to break, gently can.

2, finishing roots

Succulent plants grow for a period of time (about 1-2 years), there will be part of the root necrosis, there are many reasons, bacteria infection, soil hardening and so on. Therefore, it was necessary to clean up these dead roots by turning over. After the root system died, it would not only affect the absorption of the plant, but if the wound continued to spread, it would affect the healthy root system and finally spread to the plant itself.

Clean the soil around the roots and you will smell a ginseng like aroma, which is the smell of healthy roots! If we see insects or rotten roots at this time, we will wash the roots or cut off the heads to re-root. At present, the plants look very healthy, so we have not washed the roots! After most of the peat has been cleared, you can proceed to the next step.

3. Preparation for planting-bottom layer

Most pots are perforated. If you buy a small medium, it is recommended to use a permeable net or paper towel to cover the bottom hole slightly so that the stones do not quickly flow out of the hole every time you water or move them during planting. (Tip sharing: The bottom net is also suitable for replacing the makeup cotton used by girls)

Next we will enlarge about one fifth of the pot of ceramsite, ceramsite is a special clay and water, fired at 1,100℃, red brown different thickness of loose stone products, is the best medium for hydroponic cultivation. It has numerous independent pores, the surface can absorb a large amount of water, and the internal air still retains the dual structure, so that it has both water retention and ventilation. Free of biological and clean sterile, arc beautiful, hard texture is not easy to crush characteristics, long-term use will not deteriorate damage.

4. Start planting

Let us see more clearly in the way of illustration, because the pot to be replaced this time is relatively small, before replanting succulent plants, put some mixed soil not too much, cover ceramsite, the purpose is to plant complete stability, put too much mixed soil at the beginning, will lead to no space for plants and not deep enough, easy to shake.

Then put the succulent plants that have just been removed from the pot into the basin, and then fill the mixed soil into the gap between the pot and the plants. You can use a clamp to assist in pressing the medium slightly to make the medium more compact. Don't worry about filling too much, because there will be gaps between stones, and the roots are not easy to suffocate.

5. Tap the basin

Finally, tap the pot again to reduce the gap, sometimes more soil can be added, repeated a few times after the completion of the job.

Benefits of moving pots:

Notes after basin transfer:

1, fat tender type of meat the best transfer season is October to March (30 degrees ~5 degrees).

2, do not water for a week, because in the process of removing the roots, how much will hurt the root system, to let the wound heal dry oh.

3. Do not direct the sun for a week, put it on the window or balcony side, and let the roots slowly adapt to the new environment.

4. The first watering is in the morning until the hole permeates, and the plant will grow new roots in a week and then water normally.

5, outdoor ventilation planting 1~2 weeks watering once, indoor 2~4 weeks watering once.

In fact, these schemes are the most conservative schemes. Many fleshy plant varieties have skin and fruit levels that you can't imagine. After a long time, you will find that these methods are actually too cumbersome. Only the more delicate varieties need such complicated processes. Hehe, but if you have been exposed to succulents for a while and are not fully aware of their habits, it is better to follow a conservative plan. If you're an experienced grower, business as usual.
